What is your solution? Wealth tax? I've supported that for awhile now. I've begged democrats to impose their wealth tax on the rich, i do so because I know that will be the end of the democrat party, and they know it too, which is why we'll never see it

Democrats love their money too ya know. Why is it we don't see the virtuous liberal billionaires just handing money to the government willingly?

Again, within the span of a little over a year, everyone went from making $7.50 per hour to making $15 per hour, and it didn't move the needle. Where do we go next?
You are asking ridiculous questions that go against human nature.

What needs to be done (between the parties) is come up with a fair tax plan that doesn't impede the rich from getting richer but also gives the middle and lower classes some additional tools. This means coming up with a plan where the rich pay a bit more than they are paying now and the lower income pay a little less than they are paying now.

Keep in mind that the rich were paying 70% in the 1950 and the nation was doing fine. I am NOT saying that we should go back to that kind of taxing as that was a bit on the extreme, but going down to the 15% that Trump says he is going to go to, is the opposite side of the extreme. All extremes are bad.

We need fairer tax laws that don't overly help the rich. The rich don't really need help as they have the talent to make big money no matter what the tax rate is. Why are we helping them make even more??????

FYI, you just made the list. You are now #7 in my ignore list of people who are a total waste of time even thinking about.

From now on, I won't even see when you rate one of my posts. The only ones that will see it are the other crazy people that already agree with you and as such, your rating will be wasted on them.

Bye

FYI.

Slowly but surely I am putting everyone that is simply a critic (not a debater) on ignore. Wasting my time with people whose minds are totally closed to data, statistics and facts and are 100% Trump cult members is stupid.

I truly have very little interest in dissing people though I have been having to do it simply as defense.

That doesn't mean I am going to stop posting as my objective is not to debate but to present data, facts and statistics as that is my objective in life.

It does mean that either you will ignore my posts (not waste your time on me) or waste your time with no benefit because I will not even be seeing your ratings.

Your choice.

I will be here to debate if you want to debate. I am looking for knowledge and if you can provide it, great! I will no longer be here to swap slaps in the face and I have no interest in padding my ego by feeling that I won a discussion. Not my goal. With me, it is not about winning or losing but about imparting and gaining knowledge.

Your choice.

You can stop giving them your money anytime you choose.

Stop spending it on all the things the rich provide.
Thanks for the useless and sarcastic reply. I do what is best for me, whatever that is

"Complete Nonsense as usual"?

Would you explain exactly what about the OP is complete nonsense?

"Income inequality" is gaslighting. It is not an important metric of anything; it is a politically-charged Leftist buzzword which tries to propel a false narrative, and convince people that they are victims because of greedy corporate executives. In reality, it's Dem policies.

Generally speaking, under Trump, everyone got richer. Under Obama and Biden, the middle class and poor got poorer, and only the wealthy got richer.

I've seen a lot of predictions on what's going to happen during his term, but yeah. I'm not one for predictions, but an acceleration of this already dangerous problem is probably the most likely one I've seen so far. And Musk, now essentially an individual, unelected branch of the government, may be the first trillionaire for his fealty.

And many of the people who will be left further behind are expecting exactly the opposite, because they believe what Trump has told them. For some reason.
Musk is a fucking liability.

Unkotare

You made the list. You are #8 on my ignore list for offering nothing of value and wasting my time.

Just cut to the chase and put everyone on ignore so you can just post to yourself every day. You might finally find someone who agrees with you or is in any way impressed by your idiotic hyper-partisanship.

Prove that income inequality is gaslighting.

Income inequality can have many negative effects on the economy, including:
  • Reduced economic growth
Income inequality can reduce economic growth by redistributing income from lower-income households to higher-income households. This can lead to lower consumer spending, which in turn can hurt economic growth.

  • Stagnant wages
Income inequality can lead to stagnant wages for low- to moderate-income workers.

  • Higher asset prices
When the rich save their income instead of spending it, asset prices increase. This can be particularly problematic for ordinary families, as it can lead to higher house prices.

    • Poor public policy
Income inequality can lead to poor public policy choices, such as protectionist pressures against globalization and market-oriented reforms.
    • Social unrest
Income inequality can lead to social unrest, which can include strikes, criminality, and other unproductive activities. This can lead to uncertainty in government, which can slow down productivity and discourage investment.
    • Lower social mobility and education
Income inequality can lead to lower scores in math, reading, and science.
    • Higher crime
Income inequality can increase property crime and violent crime.
    • Lower happiness
People in less equal societies are less likely to trust each other, engage in social or civic participation, and say they're happy.

There is NO DOUBT that this is going to happen and that the poor and middle class will only receive the crumbs that are left.

Are you okay with this?
So what is it like being a projectionist like you? This guy isn't even the President, but you know, lol.

Can this person wait for all this to happen, and then make their case?

Of course not! They are incompetent, irrelevant, and immaterial. They are BRILLIANT, they are college EDUMACATED Leftists, lol

If you do NOT laugh these people off this board, it is on you; period, end of story. They have NOTHING but projections, and do not deserve your time of day.

18 out of the 24 responses to the poll either don't care that the rich are getting richer at the expense of the poor and middle class or don't believe it will happen.

That is 75% of the people either don't care about the health of the nation or are ignorant of the facts.

What a statement. If this is any example of what the nation overall thinks and does, no wonder an incompetent and narcissist man won the president and no wonder we are the laughingstock of the world.
Do you have a car, cell phone, computer, the internet, etc??

Have you ever borrowed money?
Why the stupid questions and what is your point?

Like…….maybe…….an across the board tax cut?

Hey stupid, tax cuts don’t “help them make more”, it allows them to keep more of what they made.

Idiot.
