Yes, it has been happening for ages but all extremes are bad. If you look at the graph, you will notice a strong upturn when Trump took office. That is an extreme that will get even MORE EXTREME this time around. Do you like extremes that go against YOU?

I see where it took a plunge before Obama comes into office, gradually creeping it's way back up from there, some up and down during Trump, @2016 - 2020, then a huge jump up in 2020 onward = the Biden years !!!

does not show the bottom percentage losing anything. What it does show is that 98% of Americans did not have any growth over the past 44 years, while the top 2% grew exponentially.

With so much growth and yet the 98% not growing, it does mean that they got "the crumbs of the growth seen).

Let me explain my position once again as it seems that no one ever wants to understand something so simple.

What I am against is extremes and incompetence. All extremes are bad and incompetence brings more harm than good.

Trump is extreme and incompetent and what HE does, generally brings more bad than good.

I was responding directly to your statement that cutting taxes gives the rich “more tools to get richer.” Cutting taxes gives everyone more tools to benefit financially.

I’ll tell you a tax cut that does help the “rich” far more than the poor. The SALT deduction, prior to Trump capping it at 10k during his first term, was a huge giveaway to those paying very high property taxes. Property owners in high property tax states and property owners with significant property values everywhere LOVED the deduction with no cap. A wealthy person paying 100k in property taxes on their second home in the Hamptons could save quite a bit of money in federal income taxes by writing all of that off their income. Everyone that pays federal income taxes is subsidizing them. No cap also encourages these inefficient blue states from being even more inefficient because they know that much of their careless spending will be offset by tax deductions.

Interestingly, Trump has said he would like to remove the cap that he imposed. That should please property owning Democrats in blue states and anyone paying more than 10k in property taxes. I disagree with him on this, even though I benefit from not having a cap. I don’t live in a blue state but have enough property to exceed the cap. Removing this cap is a tool that helps the wealthy more than anyone else, but remember, it is Democrats who have always been in favor of no cap.

As much as Democrats like to talk about Republicans giving more tools to the “rich”, Democrats seemingly only care as long as they personally don’t have to pay the price for their bleeding hearts.

Interesting to note that 35.7% of the people that took the poll, don't believe that Trump will be making the rich get richer with his tax cuts.

I truly would enjoy knowing how anyone can actually believe that if trump lowers taxes (which he has stated he will do) that it won't make the rich get richer........or perhaps they believe that Trump won't do what he has promised to do!
