My Dad and his Brother WW2 as well as Uncles in that war, one aged 17 was killed just two weeks after landing on Gold beach on D -Day, two Grandads first World war both wounded but survived,another Uncle my Mums younger brother Korea and Aden if you call that a war and Cousins of mine in more recent times but they were engaged in places like Northern Ireland not really wars.
 
Our world conquering ancestors used most conflicts as training exercises for the final Big Ones .

Thrashing the Germs not once but twice .
They claimed common blood but we saw that they were just common .

With Ze ( Big) Bra and Bangabangabang as living proof .

Hard to say. Both sides of my family were 19th or early 20 century Irish Ellis Island immigrants. Maybe their ancestors fought against the British empire before the American Revolution.

World War 2 and none last 46 years!!!!
 
WWI, WII, Irish War of Independence, Irish Civil War.
 
For the US, pretty much all of them since the French-Indian War.

Oh, and also in Tecumseh's War. Which is why many of them ended up in Oklahoma.
