Now, try taking a look at what Congress gave the FCC the job of doing when it comes to things like Kimmel's fascist response of MAGA.

According to FCC code- For over-the-air broadcasters (local TV and radio), the FCC prohibits the intentional distortion of factual news reports, though it does not regulate mistakes or expressions of opinion.
The FCC may only take action against a broadcaster if there is documented evidence that management intentionally falsified the news.
FCC regulations also prohibit the broadcast of hoaxes that cause public harm.
Specifically, broadcast licensees may not air false information about a crime or catastrophe if all of the following are true:
The licensee knows the information is false.
It is foreseeable that broadcasting the false information will cause substantial public harm.
The broadcast does, in fact, directly cause substantial public harm.

So in the end, JK violated the FCC code, Nexstar and ABC/Disney were liable, and now to save their company, let him go.
The FCC had let this go with all the Biden nonsense, and now the shoe is on the other foot, everyone is crying about free speech. For Nexstar, and ABC/Disney, its about money and sponsorships to not go bankrupt.
