The problem with sending the helicopters is that they become legit military targets for the Russians and could escalate the conflict.

Suppose that the Russian Federation seizes the weapons?

Even worse, how about if the Russians were to bomb a shipment of helicopter intended for the Eastern Front as they sit on the tarmac at a German airport?

Then the Russians would be in deep do-do.

It takes courage to confront tyranny and it looks like this Potatohead doesn't have any.

Russia doesnt really want the conflict to escalate to other countries. They have all they can handle inside Ukraine. Putin is bluffing, and Biden is running scared against a third world country who only gets a seat at the table because they posses nukes. Allowing Russia to take Ukraine or part of Ukraine to strengthen their hand is more dangerous in the long run than being tough now. IMHO

But Putin is selling this "special operation" as necessary to protect Russia. Ukraine already used helicopters to attack a target inside Russia. IF Nato gives Ukraine the means, then Putin can claim his bs is validated, even though any thinking person knows the only reason Ukraine is killing Russians is because Russians are killing Ukrainians.

I'm not sure I see Biden's end game. All presidents tend to be sociopaths. Biden is not causing US servicepeople to be killed. But Zelensky seems to be saying the West is fine with Ukrainians dying (and being raped and tortured) but we aren't giving Ukraine the tools to win this thing. Artillery, tanks, and helicopters and even planes. Ukraine has a population over 40 million. If we gave them everything short of nukes, I'm not sure this war would ever end. But does Biden just want to use Ukraine to bleed the Russians for years until they get rid of Putin for failing to win?
