The GOP is supposed to be the job friendly party that promotes free enterprise... When it comes to illegal immigration why is nobody proposing a way to create jobs and put 11 million immigrants to work? We have a tremendous opportunity to kickstart our industries and the workforce available to do it. Why not utilize it? Why does nobody explore this avenue instead of wasting years and billions of dollars fighting to send them back and shrink our economic potential?

What does free enterprise have to do with illegal immigration. If you think creating jobs was so easy, don't you think someone would have done it? What's your plan?

Every illegal takes a job from an American and also drives down the wages of Americans who are working. That's why they have to go. If you say they should stay, you're saying you want to crap on American citizens. It's as simple as that.

According to the law illegals are not supposed to be able to get work.

Why are liberals so against enforcing the Rule of Law?

What's wrong with the GOP? Nothing...

Obama has violated the Constitution, Rule of Law, engaged in human trafficking, been found in Contemp of Court, and has made illegals a higher priority than US citizens.

What is wrong with Liberals?!

Because that would re empower males and the PTB don't want that. That's why we are consumer economies.

First of all if you think Americans are praying at night to hit the fields and pick fruit and veggies until their backs break, then you are nutz... We are way to spoiled and entitled to do that. Fact, many Mexican immigrants do the jobs that we "American" are too privileged to do.

Second, here is a plan... Drive across middle America and note how much open land there is... Why not start building communities, industry, agriculture... Start actually producing shit so we aren't dependent on foreign imports. Connect our cities with a bullet train line to make domestic travel and shipping faster. Colonize Mars and start charging the citizens for air... There are plenty of things that we can do. Im not saying it is an easy answer but the conversation isn't being had or explored... I would think this would fit well with the GOP agenda but all i hear is vast opposition to anything that considers accepting and utilizing illegal immigrants to help progress our nation.

Im not against the law or enforcing the law. However the problem is what it is and we are not going to deport 11 million people, if you think that is feasible then your are delusional. The situation needs to be dealt with and I personally think it a smarter idea to utilize the potential that adding 11 million into the workforce would do for our economy rather than investing so much time and money into blocking and deporting.

First of all, we don't need any more people. Second of all, your plan doesn't work. China tried it, and it failed miserably.

It's easily feasible, and not deporting them poses even bigger problems. For one, it allows 11 million more Democrats into the country, and that's the last thing we need. For another, it encourages more illegal immigration.

These people need to go back where they came from. There is simply no rational argument for allowing them to stay.

You pass laws that provide severe penalties for employing illegals, and they'll leave on their own.

We already have those laws. They just need to be enforced. That means kicking the Dims out of power.

Hey an honest answer!!! Scared of never winning another election. First thing I've heard from a righty that makes sense!

You don't have to deport them. If we passed a law that anybody caught here illegally is subject to a minimum five years in prison, they will deport themselves. No new walls, no extra border police, just a simple law. They would leave and never come back.

When Arizona passed an anti immigrant law in 2010, the illegal population went down 23% in less than a year. The reason they are here is for our money, if they can't get any of it, there would be no reason to stay.

Of course that's an issue. Do you really think that if illegals all voted Republican that Democrats would be doing everything possible to turn them into voters as they are now?

The last thing this country needs is more people trying to vote themselves part of someone else's paycheck.

Your insight of economics is humorous.

We do not build communities because we have nothing better to do, we build communities because there is a demand. Same thing for products. As long as Americans are consumed with cheap products, you could take half this country and build industry and it won't do squat.

Immigration infects more than fields, they are in nearly every line of work in America and keeping wages low. You will find Americans do to any job, but the pay has to be acceptable and we need to severely cut down on our social goodies we currently give out that keep people from finding work.

One reason we don't start producing more is because of things like Bill Clinton's NAFTA. How anyone expects US worker so complete with 3rd world slaves is anyone's guess.

As for farm help. I realize you want your lettece picked on the cheap but those folks doing it are not illegal they have work visas. No one, NO ONE, has a problem with legal immigration.

I assume in the next week you will post about how the poor are getting a bad shake by the rich. Yet in the next post you will be all for more illegal uneducated low skilled workers flooding our borders. It makes no sense, it is nonsense.

Why waste time with Prison... Why not just call them concentration camps. That should be enough to scare them back to their country... Burp, Fart, pound a beer, Amerika!!!

E verify every employee. They must have a matching SS # along with proof of who they are.
Come down hard on employers that do not cooperate with the feds, fine and jail those who hire illegals, from corporations to small time contractors.
In time the illegal market would dry up, wages would increase as employers would have to compete for the available LEGAL labor.
