I'm About to Get My First Colonoscopy At 35 Years Old

I wasn't going to tell you guys this until it started getting serious and final but now I have an appointment to see the doctor on December 8th at 10:00 AM.

I'm guessing that the colonoscopy won't be the same day. I've struggled with constipation in the past but it's all been minor. I can't say I'm completely constipated, I just have trouble emptying myself completely and now I'm getting bloody stools. I apologize as I know that it's gross, but just in case the results come back that I have colon cancer (I think that I would be feeling much worse if it was) I just wanted to prepare you guys for it because a lot of you on here I care about as much as I can with online friends. I'll keep you posted and prayers are appreciated. 🙏

Much more likely to be some form of IBD than cancer, or nothing at all. IBD includes things like Crohn's Disease (which I have) and Ulcerative Colitis.

No, the scope won't be the same day, but scheduled out. Come back and lmk what prep they have for you...and if you need times. I am sadly a veteran of this procedure.

Interesting but I've had hemorrhoids before and they usually caused pain after pooping. I also can poop I just have trouble emptying my bladder completely and this recent frequent urination thing which I can't really make sense of.

So as women our organs in there sit very close together. Uterus, bowel and bladder are all in tight quarters. I notice I pee more when my bowels are acting up. It's just putting pressure on my bladder, I figure.

Thanks and me too but do you know what my frequent urination is a cause of as I've been getting that along with stomach and rib cramps as well.

What does the Vaccination have to do with this ^^^^^^ ?
Immune infiltration in dMMR colon cancer may interact with COVID-19 vaccine-induced immune activation. Long-term clinical and preclinical studies are needed to confirm these findings.

I haven't heard anything about the prep before my appointment so I'm guessing that it's just to talk to the doctor first about my symptoms.
Will it be your 1st appointment on your issue? Has the Dr. said you need to get a colonoscopy? Is there a family history of.related issues with colon? As others have noted you're very young.

Ok. Well dang. Hope you get some relief soon.

Thank you.

No, but I don't think I've ever heard of that combination of symptoms. Hopefully they do an MRI.

It also could be I'm drinking more than I think.

Yes, and in most places, they're giving a different drug that does not leave you groggy all day. You still need a driver, you just "wake up" more quickly.

I always need a driver anyways because I can't drive.

Will it be your 1st appointment on your issue?
Yes

Yes

Is there a family history of.related issues with colon?

I don't know.

You know what's also strange is that I have both on days and off days. I've been up for four hours and I've only had one bowel movement with no blood but twice yesterday. (I apologize for getting gross again but I'm trying to figure out what's up with me.) I had extreme gas last night though.

Maybe you just need to calm down a bit.

Sounds like ibd. The stress placed upon working people does this. Wr arent meant to live under pressure biologically. But the nation has done this to its citizens. Work hard be productive blah blah blah incessantly. Awful.

I think that you mean IBS.

15th post
Well guys I have my appointment tomorrow and I had the WORST pain that I've ever had in my life last night. It started out with just the regular abdominal pain, then it was my lower back, then my hips, then my legs, then my buttocks and privates. I was extremely bloated and a bit gassy too as well as nauseous and I even got sick a little bit. I'm not sure if it's all related but thankfully I've got my doctor's appointment tomorrow. Tagging JohnDB so you can know the updates as well.

Severe stomach pain kicked in again. At this point I'm probably on my way to the hospital.

Well I went to my scheduled doctor's appointment today but the doctor that I was supposed to see wasn't there today. However, I did see a general surgeon and it turns out that my bleeding was due to an internal hemorrhoid. The nausea and sickness is probably due to sinuses, but my pain I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the cause of my hemorrhoid is that I go to the bathroom a LOT though and sometimes LOTS at a time, so hopefully I'll find out more on Thursday as that's my new appointment at 11:15 AM ET. JohnDB
