i just saw on the news that it was just 5 voters ... dont know if thats the real number though .A "group of voters"?
3,471,915 Illinois voters voted for Biden in 2020, while 2,446,891 Illinois voters voted for Trump.
So how big is this "group" of Illinois voters? What was their political alignment, how many of them are Republicans, etc?

The oath a President takes is completely different from the oath Congress and officers etc. take.
We already had this discussion with Nixon. The President is not above the law. It's why Nixon needed a pardon after he resigned.

Very true, we might very well get rid of the electoral college, and that would be a tragedy.They should become a bit more imaginative regarding the potential pitfalls of such actions. The 2024 election will come before a Republican House in January of 2025. The House will be legally empowered to refuse electoral votes from states that did not allow the same major candidates as the rest of the nation. So, Illinois, Colorado, Maine, and maybe Cali, all could see their votes annulled. Imagine what the reaction would be. One thing, as they say, leads to another...
