Also, Logan County dismissed him after an investigation where he engaged in an unnecessary chase, and wrote a report where the video contradicted his version of events.

This guy was a bad apple, and even a half-ass background check would have found he was a problem officer.

Suddenly, Grayson pulled out his gun then so did his partner and his partner yelled at her to put the pot down. Grayson told investigators he thought her “rebuke” meant she intended to kill him and, in the following commotion, fired three shots, striking Massey just below the eye.

Grayson relented moments later and went to get his medical kit while Farley found dish towels to apply pressure to the head wound. When Grayson returned, Farley told him his help wasn’t necessary, so he threw his kit on the floor and said, “I’m not even gonna waste my med stuff then.”

I do have a problem with what the woman said and how she was acting but that doesn't mean I approve of him pulling out his gun and putting 3 bullets in her one right under the eyeball. Can you imagine being his partner after he just did that? What the **** dude!

Just like you can be charged for killing someone in your own home I think cops should be held accountable when they decide that fast that they need to use deadly force.

But then I see a lot of videos where people are resisting arrest or fighting with the cops and I think "why isn't it legal for the cop to just shoot this mother ******?"

When you wrestle with a cop, I think the cop has the right to assume their life is in jeopardy. And they should be able to shoot you dead.

This is what I don't like about cops. You call them and they show up treating you like a suspect.

Officers should be allowed to defend against serious harm when suspect is not restrained in cuffs.

She meant to seriously injure the officer & wasn't restrained when killed by police like Freddie Grey or George Floyd.

So... put yourself in the officers shoes. They get a call about a possible prowler. The complaintant who is supposedly concern about a prowler is completely ambivalent about a strange vehicle with broken windows that apparently has mysteriously appeared in the driveway???

Then that person when asked their name refuses to provide it.

Then that same person refuses to provide identification.

And then that person threatens the police with boil water.

That shit would put me on high alert ... right up to the threat.

And if I tell someone I will shoot them in the face as a deterrent to them attacking me, and they still attempt it???

Well, let's just say, a desire not to be scalded with boiling water is understandable.

The legal standard for lethal force isn't just fear of death, but also grievous bodily harm... and as someone who has been scalded by boiling water, I would absolutely shoot you directly in the face if you credibly threaten me with it.

That's a fact, and I don't give a damn how crazy you are.

I believe this conviction will be overturned on appeal.
