Even in the most irreligious society there is still someone making themselves the final arbiter of morality. Russia is a good example of this. They punish "deviancy" just as much as any religious inquisition ever did.Not particularly enamored of religions either but they serve a real social purpose. They bind communities of people together for a common purpose better than governments ever could. They help people deal with the certainty of death and provide a daily social structure to promote order and lawfulness. Even the most bizarre, strict or violent religious practices once served a real purpose that helped people survive in a world without science. Not sure what you are talking about. Religions and governments are both social constructs meant to keep the masses in line. The very idea that they could be separate things did not exist prior to the founding of America. Even today most countries have a state religion and clergy has a place in the high counsels of government. There's a difference? It's all tribalism. Whether you are killing in the name of The Lord or killing in the name of The KIng it's all the same.I love the times times these lazy, spoiled people try to make us believe that they would be happier in a savage world where their inherently keen wits and violent natures would finally be an advantage.
Who are you blaiming for our 5,000 years of war history?
Religions or governments?

One is real and the other imaginary.
To you those might be the same but not to a dictionary.
Do want to die3 for reality or unreality?

None of that takes away the fact that one side is selling a fact based reasoned ideology to sell itself while the other, religions, are selling pure fantasy.
Nether are particularly selling reality but at least politicians use facts, for the most part, while the mainstream religions use fiction and posit that a genocidal god id a good god.

They did have some good points in the past, but not enough today to make up for their homophobic and misogynous ways.
Religions are retarding our secular movement towards civilization and better laws.
They are holding us all back by refusing to give us all equal human status.
