Since there are soo many variables that come into play, Scientists and Psychologists can't determine the EXACT reason, but they are sure it's not a choice.
We even went over this in College Psychology and the instructor (who is a certified Psychologist) said that they are that way.

OMG! I can't wait to see the responses to this post. There have been many theories regarding homosexuality. Are any of them accurate? Who knows? If medicine can't even find a cure for the common cold, I doubt that we will find a cause for homosexuality in our lifetimes. Now, once a gay or lesbian is in a relationship, most of them do not want to change. But while they're in grade school, getting tripped, being called "***" or "lezzie", I'm sure that if there were something to "fix" them, most of them would gladly accept.

It's definitely not a choice. It's too difficult to be a choice. It is who one is.

Actually, with it having to do with something concerning the actual structure of the brain, yeah.......I'd say that it's pretty much in the womb, as the brain starts to develop sometime around the 45 day point and forms from there, which means that MOST of the determination is going to be in the womb, but, since children's brains aren't fully formed until around 16 or 17, there could be some environmental factors involved.

But, I'd say that around 75 to 85 percent is determined at birth.

What is an appropriate number?

Plenty of studies are done with a low power (number of enrolled participants).

If the low number invalidates the study, it will be born out in the statistics.

So, point out which statistics are invalid in this study.

As it stands, insisting that "90 isn't enough" is fallacious.

A low power might result in a broad confidence interval, but at long as it doesn't cross "1", the hypothesis is valid.
