I mentioned that they constantly clain we are a communist state which he found baffling.

How can we be communist when we unfortunately have a king ?

I could not answer him because the only answer is that they are uneducated morons. Basically thick as shit.

When you're next around folk in pubs, tell them you've just been educated. The UK is a unitary parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy. If they need clarification on any part of that, tell them you need to check in with your educator, Captain Caveman.
