Censorship, like Twitter was doing, was NOT at all "progressive".
Twitter has its own agenda, and it was not at all "progressive" in any way.
In fact, it likely was attempting to reduce political controversy in order to make more money.
That is very conservative.
Generally is it conservatives who censor, because they do not want people to question or want change.

Totalitarian regimes generally do not need to impose censorship because they already control all the media simply by ownership, due to wealth.
That is because it takes capital to create a viable source of media.

The First Amendment is only preventing CONGRESS From banning speech. Twitter can ban speech to it's heart's content. For that matter, so can USMB.

The problem with Lead Twit Musk is that he is removing policies that kind of made sense. No company wants their banner ad appearing next to a tweet from Naziboi1488. Twitter was barely making money before Musk got there. Now advertisers are leaving in droves.

Of course the firearms will have to be licensed and stored in a locked safe unloaded with the ammo stored in another room. In order to get a firearm license you will have to pay a small fortune, take a 40 hour course on gun safety and get checked out by a psychiatrist. Ammo will be difficult to obtain and each round will have a $1.00 tax applied.

At least 10% of all children in a state will be required to undergo a gender transition and boys in the process of transitioning to females will be allowed and encouraged to engage in female sports.

Christianity will be frowned on and Christian churches will be highly taxed. Synagogues and Mosques will get government grants.

Blacks whose ancestors were slaves will get a minimum of $250,000 and free college. Blacks whose ancestors were not slaves will only get $100,000. Illegal aliens will also get $100,000. Taxes would be raised on all whites to pay for the reparations.

Whites of course will try to go to Mexico but the Mexican border will be closed tightly by the Mexican Federales And the drug cartels.

Two things wrong here. If Twitter and Facebook want to editorialize their content they should not have section 230 protection.

Secondly, do think advertizers want their adds showing next to some wack-job holding a severated Donald Trump head? Kathy Griffin di that. Was it censored? Would you consider that hate speech? It works both ways, but you want it only your way. If you don’t agree with it, it is misinformation and should be censored. Much COVID and vaccine information was censored by Twitter, not because it was misinformation, but because it didn’t fit the narrative the CDC and the Democrats wanted to promote.
