If lockdowns & masks work, why are the vast majority of Covid deaths in leftist states?

I'm not even sure what you think you argued. That Texas and Florida don't have major population centers?
Yesterday Texas had 275 covid deaths
Florida had 139

Florida and Texas lead in new cases.

Population density

Go figure

You're full of shit. Texas and Florida are larger than New York and have major population centers.

Fake news is your life

Yesterday 275 people died of coronavirus in Texas.

That's more than New York, New Jersey and Connecticut combined.

So States shouldn't be measured on total deaths, just for one day. That's as stupid an argument as it sounds.

Since you're obviously not following Covid, just fake news, just FYI, it runs in waves. How do you possibly not know that?

Good time to drop COVID restrictions
Keep breathing in that CO2

The two leaders in new covid cases (as if you had to guess)

Florida 7,179
Texas 6,826

Looks like Gov Abbot of Texas wants to be No 1.

That really is ignorant and spits in the accuracy of the actual statistics

They have a ways to go. Let's do the real test, per capita.

New Jersey, #1. New York, #2, Rhode Island #3, Massachussets #4. Democrats top the leader board.

Texas #24

Florida #26

They have a lot of ground to catch up.

I'm saying states should be measured on what's happening NOW, and not what happened a year ago.

New York was hit hard, and hit early. Those numbers are on the record, but don't reflect what's happening in 2021.

Both California and New York had subsequent flare ups. So you blame them for that? No, admit you don't. This is just partisan to you.

The point is that masks and shutdowns are political tools. You are clearly supporting that as you make covid a constant political issue. Look at Europe and the wave after wave over there when they follow your Democrat political covid prevention plan of total shutdowns.

How's that list of major US cities that doesn't have constant flights from Europe and/or China/Asia coming? Haven't seen that from you yet

A third of the people weren’t wearing masks
That's YOUR biased estimate. Not in any way fact.

SOME weren't wearing masks...and SOME weren't distancing.

Most did both and there was no large spread from those events

Europe has had incredibly high mask usage and one devastating wave after another.

It's a virus, you shut down, it just comes back when you reopen. I mean duh. Get a clue

If you believe in measuring by historical totals instead of by current numbers, I say go with it.

That makes white supremacists the number one terrorist organization in killing Americans, more than al-qaeda.

None as densely populated as the NY Metro area

Or for most of 2020 as well

Wow good one. How about lack of population density in the skulls of Dim governors?
Democratic Governors took the hard decisions to shut down when the pandemic hit.

It was Republican Governors who had three months to prepare and left their states vulnerable.

They made decisions with no scientific backing that apparently has no real benefits either

Governors don't have the power to shut down interstate travel, at least in the continental US. True quarantine was never on the table.

Shutting businesses down as we see now is pointless. Red states with no restrictions have done just as well as American and European localities that did. Or with mask mandates

The only exception to this is Aus/NZ because they had true quarantine, which we know works scientifically. The rest were not "hard" choices they were easy choices that fucked up the economy and personal freedoms for no reason. Bowing to an irrational mob is always easy. Even if many of them have doctorates they're still a mob

France and Germany have done no better than Florida which is not only open it's a tourist hot spot and filled with old people.

New York and NJ avoided the summer surge...because of mask wearing and proper mitigation...in SPITE o being devastated early on.

Florida, Texas, Georgia ...all those red states that did NOT do that AT THAT TIME saw huge spikes

Dems claim rightwingers refuse to wear masks. Then explain why more people died in lefty states.

Bring some science, not "ORANGE MAN BAD"!
states/[/URL]

And why is Europe approaching 900,000 deaths? They were all-in for masks as well as lockdowns in most of Europe.

There is 0 evidence of that

Surges have happened everywhere with masks and soft quarantines

Only quarantines that have worked in the west are Austrialia and NZ

Just because they didnt' get a surge doesn't mean it had anything to do with mask wearing or useless lockdowns that aren't actually quarantining anyone

Just pointing out that Texas is leading in new cases, and new deaths. And based on that Gov Abbot is opening up Texas 100% and dropping all mask requirements.

All while Texas is lagging in vaccinations.

So who is playing politics?

They just had a once a decade flash blizzard and you're surprised people are dying of colds?

Jesus christ people lol

Europe did better than we did dumbass

And then there's South Korea and Taiwan who actually took this seriously and their numbers were incredibly low in spite of high population density
