Until randomized testing of anti-bodies is done, the rate is meaningless. Until we know how may were truly infected (the denominator used to make this calculation) we are only guessing.

We are actually seeing about half the iceberg. After testing almost the entire aircraft carrier, only 60% of healthy sailors were without symptoms. So 50% or fewer citizens will be asymptomatic.

I imagine the mortality rate from murder will surpass the Covid-19 death rate. The economy will take time to recover, higher unemployment equals higher crime, people will lose their housing because they were unemployed, adding to the situation.

The true mortality rate will be over 3% which is scary high. That would be 4 million dead US citizens if we did nothing.

Usually the rates for recovery and death are taken AFTER the disease has run its course, and years later.

As a result, the case count was basically a count of those who sought medical services for the disease and it was then recorded. How many people carry the flu virus every year without symptoms or just dont bother to get medical services for it? We dont know.

So this testing is kind of inflating the numbers a lot and that muddies the waters a bit.

Does a person who had the virus but no symptoms count as a 'recovered' patient when they were never a patient to begin with?

I dont know, but the partisan and ideological agendas that this disease is being manipulated to act as a PR vehicle is just incredible.

The logic suggests the death rate should climb and then recede after the illness because people have to get sick before they die.

So, if NY (which has a large number of "Covid 19 deaths") counts "suspected cases" (WITHOUT a positive test), what will they try to do to inflate the numbers next???
