Yes, I agree that Jesus was however obedient to whole law of God and that we should follow in his footsteps and also obey all the laws of God. But the idea of fulfilling the law was to establish the higher law by fulfilling the lesser law of Moses.

Let me put it this way.

After the revelation of Jesus that the words used in the law are figurative and the subjects hidden the only thing that became obsolete about the law was the wrong way to follow it, not the Law itself, which, as Jesus said, would remain in effect and in full force for as long as there are people.
