I highly doubt this will pass. This is a vote in order to have a vote as the native community are apparently preventing Alberta from separating without a drawn out legal battle in the courts. This is probably doomed to fail but it may just create resentment and allegations that the fix is in.
I've contacted the current government to express my opinion "let them build pipelines and build an economy". Companies have spent billions to ensure the process is clean, the oil is in the ground, but it to use with proper guardrails. Look what Norway did to their oil industry, they have made their population wealthy.

lberta Premier Danielle Smith announced that Albertans will vote this fall on whether the province should start the legal process that could eventually result in a binding referendum on separation from Canada.
Smith said the October referendum ballot would include a question asking voters whether Alberta should remain part of Canada or authorize the government to pursue the constitutional steps necessary to hold a future binding vote on separation.
The proposed question would ask: “Should Alberta remain a province of Canada or should the Government of Alberta commence the legal process required under the Canadian Constitution to hold a binding provincial referendum on whether or not Alberta should separate from Canada?”
In a pre-recorded address released on Thursday evening, Smith emphasized that a vote in favor of the measure would not automatically trigger separation proceedings or declare independence.
A vote in favor would authorize the provincial government to begin exploring the constitutional and legal framework required to hold a formal binding referendum at a later stage, she said.
Hundreds of people in red-and-white clothing waved Canadian flags, cheered as honking cars passed by and sang "O Canada" at a launch event for a campaign aiming to stop Alberta from quitting Confederation.
Thomas Lukaszuk, Alberta's former deputy premier, said his Forever Canadian campaign will see him and hundreds of volunteers zigzagging from the province's north to the south in his "Unity Bus" to encourage Albertans to vote for staying in Canada in an October referendum.
"I will be on the road for the next six months, riding in this bus from town to town, campground to campground," he told the crowd outside his campaign's new headquarters in Edmonton's northwest.
