Zone1 If Homosexuality Is A Sin, Then Where Does It Come From?

Well, if you say that people are only gay because they are inspired by other gay people, then when did the first gay person come from? So, that does not make sense

But today that it is not also culturally mediated, since all men in ancient Sparta participated in gay sex, also seems wrong since they all could not have had the 'gay gene'

The answer I think is somewhere in between.

As for myself, I believe man is a fallen creature, and as such, is subject to dysfunction in all aspects of their existence, whether it be spiritual dysfunction or emotional or physical or sexual.

We are just all screwed up is all.
All men didnt have gay sex in Greece. They didnt have word for it and called all sexuality eros. They just didnt care

They would not just shoot him, they would still find a way to put him on a cross, no doubt.

I just had this scene flash into my head of "Teacher, what is a woman?" and Jesus crying out "Security!! Somebody please get him out of here!!" 🤣

I don’t have a Bible.
Surprise, surprise. 🙄

Animals dont have lust their reproduction is 100% biological.

I don't know what animals have to do with it other than the fact don't gay animals exist?

And yes I do believe that Jesus has a sense of humor. 😁

No gay animals dont exist but they do make mistakes.

I used to think that people could just choose to be gay, so I was shaking my head about why gay Christians exist. However, I recently had my mind changed and learned that people can be devout Christians and still be gay and just not act upon it so my question is why are people born gay if it's a sin? Where does homosexuality come from if God creates everybody?
this could probably be best understood from Augustine of Hippo --> https://qspirit.net/augustine-hippo-queer-saint/

which can help explain how the Roman Catholics split off and became what they are, which is not from this, but instead is from rational reasoning. But this bisexuality is often overlooked as another component.

I've written the following account a number of times on this board, when this topic comes up. I should keep it handy somewhere as a text that I can cut and paste when the need arises.

I have a friend who is a senior who worked for over 30 years as an administrator at state juvenile mental health facilities and detention centers. Early in her career the inmates and/or patients were segregated by gender. As a result many of the first sexual experiences of these young people were homosexual. Eventually the facilities became desegregated, and males and females were starting to be housed together. The majority of the ones that had already had their sexual awakening with the same sex and had multiple experiences thereof, retained those preferences even after having the opposite sex available and willing. She said it was very obvious this was learned behavior. No I'm not going to say that it's impossible that maybe some people are born with homosexual tendencies already, but in many people the behavior is definitely learned.

Did you see the dinner party scene from “The Birdcage”, in which the soup bowls had pictures of naked Greek boys playing leapfrog?

We are all born sinners
Only if youre a Christian with personality issues. Jews are not born sinners and we wrote Genesis. There is no original sin or fall of man. Its Gods moral teaching of man and trial for mans freedom.
Believing youre born in sin is a self destructive belief. Its also just plain dumb

I always wondered why the most vocal critics of homosexuals always use this phrase.

It doesn't take very long to figure out how these critics really feel, and what they really want.

Do tell.
