So how do we eliminate the inflation? In the past, raising the prime rate would achieve some benefits. But there are other intangibles in which I do not understand. Our debts are worse than when Fed head Volcker raised the prime rate to double digits in the early 1980's. Can that be done this time? We have the inflation now from the 1970's and the real inflation is double by the then CPI standards. Our economy may not be as fast growing as needed with the inflation. That is stagflation.
