Well no, just appeal and then start impeachment proceedingsMaybe that district judge needs to be arrested for obstruction? What's the problem?
"A FEDERAL JUDGE IN CHICAGO RULED last Wednesday that starting this week ICE agents can now face arrest and contempt proceedings if they conduct unlawful, warrantless arrests, marking a dramatic shift in immigration enforcement oversight in the city.
U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings found that ICE agents violated the terms of a consent decree by detaining people without proper warrants, following a surge in such arrests amid increased enforcement activity. According to the judge’s order, ICE agents must now wear body cameras and have them turned on. They also cannot arrest anyone complying with their appointment dates at immigration courthouses.
The latest order expands protections for immigrants, mandating rigorous reporting and retraining requirements for agents and creating court-backed avenues for legal consequences—including possible arrest—for those found violating the judge’s directive."

Very good.
There is no legitimate reason to object to these protections for immigrants.
ICE agents are subject to the rule of law.
I only speak for myself. I’ve never claimed to speak for any greater group or organization, and I never will. This guy doesnt speak for me..
Cool story. Time do another bong hit.Trump did not have any benefits or rights lost when becoming a convicted criminal.
Nope. ICE has gone from a legitimate law enforcement agency with its hands tied by democrats from enforcing the law to an agency allowed to enforce the laws they were sworn to enforce. It is about ******* TIME!!! ICE has become a very ugly organization. They are NOT a law unto their self. ICE is out of control. It gone from a legitimate law enforcement agency to acting the Gestapo.
The standard is mere reasonable suspicionWell there are standards for Constitutional detainment or Arrest. I believe that is what the judge is saying, especially related to ancillary arrests without warrant. Those standards are not particularly high though.
Who was held in contempt? For what?Nope. I don't actually. Hence why I don't see this part of the ruling being a negative. We should expect our rights to be protected. Reminder, this is a contempt ruling - which means shenanigans have already occurred.
There are multiple portions of the ruling though, and I am not discussing the other portions.
What was it doing when it was legit? Show usIt is about ******* TIME!!! ICE has become a very ugly organization. They are NOT a law unto their self. ICE is out of control. It gone from a legitimate law enforcement agency to acting the Gestapo.
The judge is part of the federal court system and is a part of the Supremacy clause oversight.
Only if the ice agent commits a crime. If they don't, they are fine and dandy! No?

It’s a federal judge so no that’s not in playSupremacy clause.
Yeah. It’s a federal judge so no that’s not in play
Yeah the appeals court will step on her should there be a conflict or even an arrest. Federal court system is not going to cede legal authority to the state or even a municipality.Still subject to the Supremacy of federal law and jurisdiction over local.
Probable cause for an arrest. Again this looks like its related to a consent decree in 2022.The standard is mere reasonable suspicion
That’s not what the judge said
No judge had to say it, since it’s already been said
ICE agents are subject to the rule of law.
