ICE Agents Can Now Be Arrested in Chicago

Federal Law … outside the jurisdiction of local LE when enforcing Federal Law.

That activist judge will be overturned in a New York Minute.
That's a good point. Non federal would be doing the arrests.

An out of federal money New York minute.

"A FEDERAL JUDGE IN CHICAGO RULED last Wednesday that starting this week ICE agents can now face arrest and contempt proceedings if they conduct unlawful, warrantless arrests, marking a dramatic shift in immigration enforcement oversight in the city.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Cummings found that ICE agents violated the terms of a consent decree by detaining people without proper warrants, following a surge in such arrests amid increased enforcement activity. According to the judge’s order, ICE agents must now wear body cameras and have them turned on. They also cannot arrest anyone complying with their appointment dates at immigration courthouses.

The latest order expands protections for immigrants, mandating rigorous reporting and retraining requirements for agents and creating court-backed avenues for legal consequences—including possible arrest—for those found violating the judge’s directive."

Very good.

There is no legitimate reason to object to these protections for immigrants.

ICE agents are subject to the rule of law.
Judges can't make laws. How ******* stupid are you people?...lol

So what that lunatic non judge apparently just said was that local police on the spot and in the moment can hold a make pretend trial and if they consider ICE out of line then they can arrest ICE
Of course this will instigate a response from ICE which the loons will blame on ICE and shrug off their own responsibility
That, is fascism...lol

That’s not strictly true. Higher court decisions on existing statute law can amend or nullify how that law is applied. This is called Case Law.

Lower courts are obliged to implement the decisions of the higher courts in similar situations… and occasionally very different situations.

There are over a million case law precedents on the books and they can only be superceded by a higher court of specific statute law, created by legislation.

Homan has said many, many time that ICE is not going after long time illegal residents who have committed no additional crimes. He said ICE agents have written orders to detain illegal aliens who have committed additional crimes and those who have deportation warrants issued by a judge. That federal judge is a Democrat loon.

I KEEP TELLING YOU THAT YOU SHOULD CONSIDER NOT RESPONDING TO JONES THREADS.

SHE POSTED THE OP, SUCKS YOU INTO A DISCUSSION.

BUT I SCANNED THE THREAD AND SHE HAS NOT POSTED AFTER THE OP

IT'S HER MO.

THROW OUT A TURD AND THEN RUN AWAY.

SHE'S TIRED OF HAVING THESE THINGS CRAMMED BACK UP HER BACKSIDE.

SHE SAYS NOTHING OF VALUE AND ONLY POSTS THIS GARBAGE TO OCCUPY YOUR MINDS ON THINGS THAT ARE PRETTY MEANINGLESS.

NOW 0311 DOES POST AND I THINK SHE MAY BE A SOK FOR JONES.

JONES' POST ARE JUST CHEERLEADING SOME LEFT WING ROLL OF TOILET PAPER.

0311 IS HERE TO MAKE STUPID COMMENTS (AND IS VERY GOOD AT THAT).

They have removed 200 agents recently, so they're trying to keep the unvetted felons out, but now they're using sub-contractor vigilantes, which is flat out illegal.
who fed you that?

ICE agents are subject to the rule of law.
But not illegal immigrants, because they're illegal 🤔

Interesting stance.
