I was in Alabama recently

which was thick with Pentecostals. In case you don't know Pentecostal women are expected to hide their sexuality, much like Islamic women. So there really is no difference. Why are so many men afraid of women's sexuality?
Why in the world would you go to Alabama? I lived there about 50 years ago and have never had any reason to return.

Have a warrant for your arrest I see in Alabama

.
does anyone give Johnson a snow balls chance in hell of being reelected to the senate - brave to be pro abortion in the hate state of Alabama ...
Abortions have always been available regardless of the law even in places like Alabama. Abortion like liquor, pornography, and prostitution may be illegal but that has never kept the people from using them. Some people do realize the hypocrisy in passing laws that will not be enforced or enforced selectively. A Reuters poll shows people in Alabama and Georgia do not support the restrict abortion law just passed. Even in Alabama, there is no guarantee of election simple because you oppose rowe v wade.

I suspect that when a Muslim walking down the street wearing a burka is a woman.

When a Pentecostal is dragging a man into church, it's a woman.

Yea, they are the same, I guess. Except they need to do a better job hiding their sexuality. We can't just ignore that nonsense.

It’s the bane of religious extremism – regardless the religion.

So you think that because men and women treat sex as a sacred act they consider it their bane? Why?
.
And no I'm not Pentacostal, thrilled as heck I get to wear jeans to work the next two weeks. :)

did you receive permission ...

no, because they impose their ill will on others is a glee. their restriction of religious freedom.

No one has restricted religious freedom from the right

Yeah. Sure. Then why do they try so hard to shove their "religion" into other people's reproductive organs when their victims have not signed on to their "beliefs"? The right-wingers are the main culprits.

johnson's reelection will be one to watch if what you say is true ... he's not shy about the rights of woman, their reproductive right of choice in the matter.

there is an imbalance between those that vote and who stay home - favoring the fanatic bible centric christians. has always been their weapon against civility.

Is that not states rights?

There is no such thing as "states' rights" when the Constitutional rights of the individual citizens of these states are being threatened. These rights are NOT up to majority rule. You have to face the fact that your neighbor may not have chosen to embrace the beliefs that you have chosen to believe. Freedom of religion means that each individual may adopt the beliefs of his/her choice.

Saying that there is no such thing as states rights is absurd.

Please show me where the US Constitution gives the Federal Government the right to determine abortion rights.

I'll help you. Here is the 10th Amendment, in full.

Amendment X
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

###

Or freedom of religion does not mean we can each choose to worship in the way we wish. It means, in the words of our Constitution:

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The First Amendment and the Fourteenth Amendment for starters. Why do you want to use the the government to establish a state religion when we all have the the right to choose our religious beliefs for ourselves? Moreover, the right to privacy is long established in case law. I would not think that a person whose "sincerely held beliefs" were against abortion would have one.

I'm sort of a bottom line sort of guy, so please, point out where abortion is covered in either the First or Fourteenth Amendment.

Religion has nothing, whatsoever, to do with Roe v Wade. Thank you!

Yeah, and they are generally happier than women who are running around screwing random people, like a typical pagan.

So basically you are asking "why are women living in a way that results in them being happier in life?"

Did you talk to any of them?

So you agree that the Electoral college should not be abolished

The opposition to abortion comes from some religious groups, but the First Amendment guarantees that each individual has the right to choose his or her beliefs and that the government has no right to interfere with this choice. The First Amendment also guarantees the right to privacy. If an individual has a belief that abortion is wrong, she has a right to not have one. The same is true for people who do not share this belief and may want to have one. Many people do not embrace the belief that there is something wrong with having an abortion, and have a right to be free of another person's beliefs. The 14th Amendment provides for all of us to have equal protection under the law.

We pursue our own beliefs here.
We all have a right to our choice of beliefs. We all have a right to personal autonomy. Has anyone ever forced anyone else to have an abortion against their beliefs? If so, she should call the police.

What is this shit about women "running around screwing random people"? Most women, and most men, do not do this. Who are these people whom you are talking about? Moreover, why are you only talking about females and not males? Remember that we now have a "president" who randomly screwed anything still breathing and a "vice president" of sex indeterminate.

Try to have some dignity and respect. Most Americans do not live in your sordid, pole-dancing, any-woman-whom-I-can-get-my-hands-on world. Most Americans, of both sexes, do not live your promiscuous life.

BTW: Are you willing to swear that you had never had sex before the day you said your marriage vows, committing yourself to fidelity to your partner? Gee. I would like to know your own sexual history.

Where in the First Amendment is there any guarantee of privacy?

Where in the First Amendment is there any mention of abortion?
