Democrats have urged an extension of enhanced subsidies for plans sold through the Affordable Care Act to soften the blow of rising insurance costs, while Republicans have said the additional assistance was never meant to be permanent.

The spike in premiums will become visible to more Americans on Monday when the Trump administration is expected to open Healthcare.gov for window shopping to browse the price of plans ahead of the Nov. 1 start to open enrollment. A spokesman for CMS did not immediately return a request for comment."

I went for most of my life without Healthcare, and I'm still here in my early seventies now.

Is this Healthcare thing the same as maybe "climate control" and every other scheme politician's and government controlled by them at various times have used politically over and over again now ????

I agree that prices have got to be lowered in the market places for those that want to buy and have insurance.

The uneducated and poor (because or their bad choices made in life) can use the emergency rooms like they've always done.

Poor people not poor or disabled by choice can qualify for program's after proving their case in hopes to qualify for said program's.

Three groups here:

1. People that contribute and work who deserve a fair market place when buying what they need in life. These are essential workers that keep the American economy buzzing.

2. Bad choice maker's and the uneducated by choice. A group that needs to understand that bad choices come with uncomfortable consequences in life. Hopefully the struggle teaches them to become better choice maker's in life. Help can be part of it, but it shouldn't come so easy to the point that it encourages them to stay in such a terrible position on and on in life.

3. Poor people and disabled who are not this way by their choices in life. These people should be the only class that is offered government assistance in the form of program's that help them in their disabilities and situations be it long term depending on the damage involved. These case's must be proven without a doubt.
