The bible calls everyone to holiness but it is not achievable. It's akin to saying "be the best you can be." Only God is holy. Period. Nobody else ever was or will be perfect. So you don't pray to anyone but him. Doing otherwise is direct blasphemy.
You can pray together. We pray together. TO GOD. Not TO MARY. Not TO JOSEPH. Not to relatives, dead or alive. Not to anyone but God. Or Jesus. The catholic church is a whackjob. They don't pray to God, they're too busy telling people they must confess to another sinner and that saying 3 our fathers will get them forgiveness. NONE of which is in the bible. They just make shit up as they go along.
And to top it off, they make their members take "lessons" how to be a good married couple from a priest that is supposed to maintain celibacy. (except for molesting kids of course). Only a fucked up church would mandate THAT bullshit of their members.
Defend your whackadoodle teachings and child molesting priests. I'm so glad to be free of that church and into a real church that worships GOD and ONLY GOD.
1. Your definition of holiness is not the biblical definition. The Hebrew word is
kadosh, which presents the idea of being set aside and the idea of transparency. The reason God calls us to be holy (to be apart from others, to be transparent) is so God's purpose can be noticeable. Creation has a bad habit of not allowing the Creator and His purpose to be noticeable. Mary was set apart for a particular purpose, to be transparent herself so that God's purpose might be noticeable.
2. God is Holy--He, Himself is set apart; He is far removed. He is transparent. So ask yourself, did Mary agree to be set apart for a specific purpose, to be transparent, so that God's purpose might be revealed?
3. You may want to insist only God is holy, but scripture tells us God calls upon us to be holy as well--to set ourselves apart from what everyone else may be doing, to be transparent in our own actions so that God's purpose for us might be revealed. That is what the Bible means when it calls us to holiness. Corinthians says,
"For the Temple of God, which you are, is holy."
4. Do you ever ask anyone to pray for you or to pray for something worthwhile? When you make this request, are you praying to that person? That is what you claim Catholics are doing when they request the prayers of other members of the Body of Christ. In fact, we are merely in communion with other members of the Body of Christ, just like when we worship together at Mass. We are not praying to each other, are we, but all of us are praying to God. The Body of Christ--those living and those who have passed on--send all prayers to God, not to one another, just like in Church we send all worship to God, not to one another.
5. Keep in mind priests are products of a marriage. I don't know about you, but I learned as much about marriage from my parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles as I have from being married. They were my teachers, and they inspired my own marriage.
“Get behind Me, Satan! You are standing in My way.
You are not thinking how God thinks.
You are thinking how man thinks.”
Matthew 16:23 NLV
“Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me,
for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”
Matthew 16:23 NKJV

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober,
and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves
according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But
as He, which hath called you,
is Holy,
so be ye holy, in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written,
Be ye
holy; for
I Am Holy.
1 Peter 1:13-16
For God was pleased to have all His(God)fullness dwell in Him(JC),
and through Him(JC) to reconcile to Himself(God)all things,
whether things on earth or things in heaven,
by making peace through His(JC) blood, shed on the cross.
Once you were alienated from God
and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior.
But now
He(G) has
reconciled you
by Christ’s physical body
through death
to present you holy in His sight,
—
if you continue in your faith, established and firm,
and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel.
This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed
to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul,
have become a servant.
Colossians 1:19-23
If you are His, through faith in Christ, then act like it....Otherwise,
I never knew you, depart from Me
Believers should be the Light, that is no longer here,
to draw those in darkness, to the light illuminating our path.
If we turn people away from
knowing Christ and finding God,
then we don't know God or have accepted Christ.

This will have to wait...

Your understanding and Gods' Truth, are worlds apart
Why you keep referring to God and His purpose,
in relation to other people and transparency, is beyond me.
You may want to insist only God is holy, but scripture tells us God calls upon us to be holy as well-
And he came to her and said,
“Greetings, O
favored one, the Lord is with you!”
Luke 1:28
For he has looked on the humble estate of his servant.
For behold, from now on all generations will call me
blessed
Luke 1:48
As he said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to him, “
Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” But he said, “
Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
Luke 11:27-28
And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you;
therefore, also,
that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God
Luke 1:35
And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for He has looked on the humble estate of His servant. For behold, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for He who is mighty has done great things for me, and
Holy is His name. And His mercy is for those who fear Him from generation to generation. .
Luke 1:46-55
And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my strength is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. “
There is none holy like the Lord; there is none besides You; there is no rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed.
1 Samuel 2:1-3
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death. Amen
The hail Mary is blasphemy!
Mary was blessed and the fruit of her womb, Jesus, is Holy!
Mary was not Holy, she was blessed and favored
Mary is NOT the mother of God, she is the mother of Jesus!
Furthermore, you are praying to someone,
who can't hear you, let alone, pray for you...
SHE IS STILL ASLEEP AND HAS NOT BEEN RESURRECTED YET!
The sacrifice was sufficient!
You're praying to someone who can't hear you
to go before God on your behalf, which only Jesus can do
You call her holy and the fruit of her womb, blessed
The prayer addresses her as the mother of God
I can do all things, THROUGH CHRIST, Who strengthens me...
Not through Mary
Anything you ask My Father, in My name,
that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son
You have been saved, by Grace, through Faith
Gods' free gift of Grace, to reconcile anyone to Himself,
through anyone's faith in Christ crucified, as the sacrifice,
one time for all, which cleanses us from our sins,
and His resurrection, which presents us as righteous
(I am the righteousness of God, through Christ)
So we can BOLDLY, go before God, knowing, by faith,
we are forgiven....God is faithful and Christ was sufficient
Mary didn't pay the price, she fulfilled scripture
You rely on the truth of men and self,
Not the Word of God, which is the Truth you will be held to
