I may have gotten the impeachment thing all wrong

So, according to you, the sitting President can NOT challange subpeona's in court less they committ obstruction of Congress? Really? Is that what you want to go with?

Becuase there are plenty of cases in not only the Obama administration doing the exact same thing, but indeed throughout the history of sitting Presidents going all the way back to Washington...So, what makes this different?

Trump isn't challenging the subpoenas in court. They are being ignored.

LOL...It's up to the Democrats to enforce their subpeona's .... Why do you libs always try to turn things on their head?

Or just charge him with obstruction.

It's up to Trump to either comply with the subpoenas, invoke EP or sue to somehow otherwise invalidate the subpoenas. He's done nothing but ignore them and state that he has no intention of complying. That is willful obstruction.
Wrong again, asshole. It's up to Congress to sue, not Trump.

No. It's up to Trump to comply or be in contempt.
Are you really 100% wrong about everything you post?

Heh, heh...You clearly have no clue....Here's but one example of the Obama administraion ignoring subpeona's...

"House Republicans say that the Obama administration is ignoring subpoenas for documents related to ObamaCare spending they call illegal.

Ways and Means Committee Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas) and Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.) sent a letter to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Tuesday calling on it to comply.

The committees issued the subpoenas on March 29, but Republicans say they have received only one heavily redacted page of one document from HHS in response."

GOP: Administration ignoring ObamaCare subpoenas

Now, should House Republican's have impeached Obama? Because that will be the standard going forward if we follow your misinformed opinion.

Where's the part where they went to court?

That's the point dumbass...It was up to Republican's to go to court if they felt that they wanted the information bad enough...til then it was just political bluster.....Good grief...Don't you understand that it is up to the people making the charge to prove it in court? NOT the other way around....? But then again, I'm almost positive that you probably think that it is also up to someone accused, to prove their innocence, rather than in the concept of innocent until proven guilty...Right?

Republicans are full of shit. If Hillary was in this situation none of the weak defenses for obstructing congress would be made.

That means nothing. Congress has the constitutional authority to subpoena materials and testimony.
And the Executive branch has the Constitutional authority to challenge them.

Oops!
Yes. They challenge it by declaring EP, idiot.

Philbin has laid out in great detail exactly why the House subpoenas were invalid, citing Supreme Court rulings as precedent.

Your House Clowns fucked up. Deal with it.

They were not. No votes are needed to issue subpoenas.

Feel free to show us where they are required.

They are only part of the legal process, dumbass. If what you say is true, then why wasn't Obama impeached? Why wasn't Trump impeached for obstruction of justice? Because you're a moron. That's why.

Hillary got away with destroying 33,000 emails that were under subpoena, moron.

EP is invoked in response to the body that issued the subpoena. It is then up to that body to challenge that claim of privilege in court If they choose to.

Simply ignoring subpoenas is not EP. It's obstruction. Especially since EP only covers particular documents and conversations. Not everything.

House Rules:
"(2) (A) A subpoena may be authorized and issued by a committee or subcommittee under subparagraph (1)(B) in the conduct of any investigation or series of investigations or activities, only when authorized by a majority of the members voting, a majority being present. The power to authorize and issue subpoenas under subparagraph (1)(B) may be delegated to the chairman of the committee pursuant to such rules and under such limitations as the committee may prescribe. Authorized subpoenas shall be signed by the chairman of the committee or by any member designated by the committee."

Are subpoena issued by Nadler and Schiff without voting on them lawful? Yes or no.

If you really believe that, then I got a bridge to sell ya....lol....

My prediction, is that when the time comes this will be dismissed out of hand....then you and Aunti Maxine can continue to make up your next fabricated attempt.
