Many tenants do not properly care for the property they rent. When they damage it, and call the landlord, if he can't increase his price, he is likely to say, you damaged it, you fix it.

Tell your landlord you like the place and will care for it. Tell him he will cause you to move. Many landlords have a kind heart.

You seem wanting to stick to the place you live. You might shop for a low-cost life insurance policy; tell the landlord he will receive X dollars if you pass away and see if he agrees that will do.

I spent decades LIVING under rent control in New York City, and I I know what goes right with it. Like thousands of apartment buildings stretching for miles in 5 boroughs all doing perfectly fine for 100 years, despite the continuous landlord propaganda.

The building I was raised in was built in 1908 and under rent control since the 1920s. It and the whole neighborhood of buildings are still there, occupied and fully functional.

Here's a recent picture of the New York block I was raised on, and lived from 1946 to 1967 (visited until 1977). Hardly looks a bit different than it did 80 years ago.

With brick homes, it is the interior that needs the maintenance, not the exterior other than the roof. Have you ever owned a home?

Do you honestly think anyone will vote for a Democrat because the price of gas is high? Absolutely the opposite will happen! Republicans will work to bring it down while Democrats will just continue whining and complaining and then importing more illegals and defrauding the American people.

Facts are inconvenient truths sometimes. I am on a fixed income so every little increase hurts, but I also know that there is little than anyone can do about it as it is being caused by evil in this world and the only way we can overcome come evil is to defeat it, sometimes on the battlefield.
