I hope Trump lowers health care premiums and deductibles for Obamacare recipients

ACA is, and always was, a way to funnel money to the insurance industry. Whatever Trump does, that will be preserved.

I'm holding out hope that less will be so funneled. For example, no more taxpaid healthcare premiums for people making six figures.

Maybe I'll be disappointed when Trump is unable to end that because congress will not. But that won't change the fact that Democrats shut down the government specifically to try to force Republicans to agree to keep providing tax-funded healthcare to entrepreneurs, artists, and trustfund babies making millions per year.

I’m very excited that Trump has decided Obamacare is worth keeping as he seeks to extend government subsidies, which are essential. I don’t mind paying taxes for things such as healthcare for those in need.

I’m not really a “small government “ guy so I applaud this move.

But I want to know if the changes that he wants to implement will result in each plan costing people less money in premiums and deductibles than it cost before.

Do you guys think Trump will lower premiums and deductibles?

I think Trump will lower premiums and deductibles because he is all for affordability.

Look at CommieDawg begging Trump to fix the Obamacare Clusterfuck. :auiqs.jpg:

What are you talking about?
Chump's various best ever much better than Obamacare health care schemes. They're always to be announced in two weeks.

Where have you been?

Not in Trump Derangement land.

The HSA expansion is a current proposal, not something that will be announced in two weeks.

Obama, Biden and Democrats cram through a dumpster fire wrecking ball on our healthcare system, now they want Trump to fix their giant mess. How typical.

Bbbut ObummerCare was supposed to solve it!!!

We told you it wouldn't

So far I have saved $25,000 on my health insurance since Obamacare...still waiting for the check though. Obama come on, don't leave me hanging bro.

Bet you didn't get to keep your doctor either did you?

Turns out the "AFFORDABLE CARE ACT", was a lie.

Because anything else was soshalism.
What?? Just trolling? Trying to make a point? Keep trying.

And work on your spelling. Clarity matters.

How? They're set by the insurers offering ACA plans. Besides, don't you have to give a shit in order to do things to slow medical cost insurance? He'd rather work on picking out the gold fixtures for the ballroom.

If insurers set the premiums, why is your Cult trying to blame Trump for how unaffordable it is, Stupid ?

:oops8:

Well, yes and no. When rates are filed with a respective state insurance office they are also sent on to CMS for them to review. The state may approve an increase or decrease in premiums but CMS may not agree. Deductibles and max out of pockets are set by insurance companies but they also have to follow what the max out of pockets rules put forth in the ACA for any particular year.

Providers contracts with the insurance companies add into setting rates. If a doc wants more next year for their services and everyone agrees then it comes into play.

Trump is bouncing around on this like bounces around on everything else, from tariffs to Russia.

This is the polar opposite of strong leadership.
Trump has zero leadership skills, no ability to persuade or build consensus. He's the troll in chief, and that's about it.
