I Got Some Really Exciting News

Mine was also my birthstone. After a few years of marriage, traded it for a diamond.

Congratulations!

LOL...the Wife and I just got Gold bands for our wedding.
Someone stole mine out of my shoe when we went skinny dipping shortly after we got married.
Never bothered to replace it. We recently had to cut the Wifes wedding band off because she couldnt remove it.

Just to get you acclimated to your new environment, Go make me a sammich and bring me a beer. LOL

I don't think so I'm not marrying you first of all and second of all in my relationship we do things for each other because we want to, not because we feel like we have to.

If we have a son I don't know if I shouldn't name him Brandon or if I should to make a statement if he's ever on some kind of sport's team and shouting "let's go Brandon!!!!" :D

In all seriousness though, I think that we pretty much decided already if we have a boy someday we're naming him Michael Joseph and if we have a girl we're going to name here Eleanore Lydia. Mike and Mikey and Ella and Ellie for short. Then I could also nickname her with Cinderella or Cinderelly. :)

Thanks guys and just in case you guys are wondering I am having money issues right now and problems finding a job so I'm currently living at home with my parents. I don't usually talk about that part because it's embarrassing but that's why we can't get married right away unfortunately. :( Please pray that things get better though. :)

I wish you the best of luck and a happy future.

My wife wanted a grand, traditional wedding (she's East Indian Guyanese), however, at the time we wanted to get married her mother had not accepted me into the family yet, so she promised to boycott any wedding. She had a problem with what I did in the military, and I had been federal law enforcement a few years earlier. Her mother, being an immigrant many years ago, viewed all federal law enforcement as immigration cops and was afraid I'd somehow deport her, despite her having lived legally in America since the mid-70's. Long story short, my then fiancée and I eloped to the mountains and had a small wedding ceremony in the cabin we'd rented. Years later my mother-in-law has accepted me into the family and no longer believes that I love to kill brown people in foreign lands or want to deport her back to Guyana.

Saving money is one thing, however, don't let lack of funds keep you from getting married forever. Sometimes there's no better time than now to make your dreams come true.

Surprise her one day and show up dressed as Hitler and tell her you're deporting her!!!

The thought has crossed my mind. Immediately after 9/11 my wife's brother was heckled to no end (he was in college then). Everyone thought he was Saudi or something—I guess his skin was too brown. Anyway, she's an old battle axe for sure, but we've sort of grown on each other.

Thanks and his name is Joey. :)

Thanks and there will be a regular one on Friday night too, but this is a very special occasion. :)
Congrats! Hey, tell Joey you have a bunch of Forum bros watching him. He better be good to you! LOL
