Mine was also my birthstone. After a few years of marriage, traded it for a diamond.
Congratulations!

I was told some time ago that my life was blessed due to being born in the shadow of Mt. Fuji. The guide said it blessed our marriage...
My father-in-law was also. Beautiful country, and he was indeed blessed!I was told some time ago that my life was blessed due to being born in the shadow of Mt. Fuji.
I was medevaced to the hospital I was born in from Vietnam. Returned to Vietnam and I went back to southern Japan in 1971 and spent the better part of a year. Enjoyed it immensely. My father-in-law was also. Beautiful country, and he was indeed blessed!

Congrats. Who's the lucky guy?I'm not sure if anybody will care on a message board, but I'm engaged. If anybody does care though, once we can start planning the wedding and have a date in mind, I'll throw a virtual wedding reception if you guys want.![]()

Hey! Congratulations.
I'll try to swing by tonight for the virtual par-tayyyyy.
Thanks guys and just in case you guys are wondering I am having money issues right now and problems finding a job so I'm currently living at home with my parents. I don't usually talk about that part because it's embarrassing but that's why we can't get married right away unfortunately. Please pray that things get better though.

Surprise her one day and show up dressed as Hitler and tell her you're deporting her!!!I wish you the best of luck and a happy future.
My wife wanted a grand, traditional wedding (she's East Indian Guyanese), however, at the time we wanted to get married her mother had not accepted me into the family yet, so she promised to boycott any wedding. She had a problem with what I did in the military, and I had been federal law enforcement a few years earlier. Her mother, being an immigrant many years ago, viewed all federal law enforcement as immigration cops and was afraid I'd somehow deport her, despite her having lived legally in America since the mid-70's. Long story short, my then fiancée and I eloped to the mountains and had a small wedding ceremony in the cabin we'd rented. Years later my mother-in-law has accepted me into the family and no longer believes that I love to kill brown people in foreign lands or want to deport her back to Guyana.
Saving money is one thing, however, don't let lack of funds keep you from getting married forever. Sometimes there's no better time than now to make your dreams come true.
