My suggestion. Have a fun brainstorming session where “No” is not allowed. You both lay all your wildest ideas out of the table… write them down. Then revisit it and start crossing things off and circling the things you both can agree on. From there just take things one small step at a time. This is about you two so make it what you two want.

I like that idea, but Joey (that's his name) have a policy to always be honest with each other and no should be allowed if we don't like or agree with a suggestion, but writing it all down in like a journal or something when there's so much to plan for and remember is a really good idea. Less nerves and stress that way as that's why I write a lot of notes for myself already. (It's probably going to be a while before we set a date though because that's probably going to be the last thing we plan for and it might not be this year either. In fact I'm really hoping to shoot for next year, but we have to find a new place together first so it might be a year and a half or two years depending on how long that takes.)

I wish you the happiness my wife and I are still enjoying after close to 60 years.
Please never forget one thing: In one sense you two will be one but you also are two. Now and then enjoy doing different things at the same time. Part of getting together is telling each other of good things done but when you do all of them together you have little left to talk about without it turning to bitching. Please try to understand that and keep each other interested.

Thanks guys and just in case you guys are wondering I am having money issues right now and problems finding a job so I'm currently living at home with my parents. I don't usually talk about that part because it's embarrassing but that's why we can't get married right away unfortunately. Please pray that things get better though.

I don't know yet, we don't have a whole lot of money so a simple camping trip would be nice since we both love camping.

The Wife and I went to Lake Ouachita in Arkansas for our HoneyMoon 32 years ago.
We rented a cabin on the water and a 24 foot Party Barge.
We hired a guide and went striper fishing and we both caught the same number and size of stripers.
The guide said it blessed our marriage...so far he's been right.

That’s fine… the No No rule isn’t about being honest or not it is about stimulating the creative side of the mind by eliminating restrictions and reservations. That gets it all on the table… even if the idea is you riding a unicorn down the aisle… put it on the list and have a laugh, you can cross it off at the next meeting…. Or actually do it!
