I wish people advocating socialism would stop comparing the US to Scandinavian countries that have populations and economies the size of the city of Miami, and which also have strict immigration policies. Also, stop using Canada's healthcare system as an example of "good socialism." It's a dismal failure. People come to the US for medical procedures rather than waiting months to see a doctor there. And Germany? It's on the verge of economic collapse because of how expansive the "social safety nets" (as you describe them) have become, with a seemingly borderless immigration policy (welcoming every African and Middle Eastern "refugee" that wants free shit with open arms), completely squandering everything they gained from the Great Economic Miracle after WWII, ushered in by Ludwig Von Ehrhardt lifting price controls and undoing everything Hitler had imposed.

To them, it’s a completely leftwing ideology when in reality it’s been part of the framework of the country since the beginning. The founders had socialist ideas after all. They basically were leftists. It’s also stupid to say that communism and socialism are the same thing when in reality communism is simply an example of socialism. Socialism itself is a very broad term that can’t be defined simply.

Also, isn’t Trump the bigger socialist than Obama? His bailout to farmers was twice as big as Obama’s bailout. Are republicans going to pretend that isn’t socialism?
