No matter who wins the establishment is going to be pissed. Bernie vs Trump is populism overpowering status quo bullshit. Both of those men believe the things they say and have real passion. They are true representatives of their respective crowds. These are the kinds of politicians we should have fighting for control, not shills like the Clinton and Bush families. If Bernie wins the nomination and we have two populists fighting for control I will be very proud of my country.

Socialism is bad news, but on the other hand, perhaps Trump will take his promises of draining the swamp more seriously.

I'm hoping for a close, entertaining election. I think it's going to be with trump in a squeaker. It should provide plenty of entertainment for all.

How do you see the next 4 years playing out if Bernie were to win?

I see it as a slow decline towards mediocrity... but faster decline than with Trump.

If Bernie would win I don't see peaceful solution out of the mess anymore. Unless Americans accept the Brazilian fate.

Legalize the 10-30 million illegals and he would never lose an election again.

While I agree with a lot you said, you lost me at Bernie is ideal to fight for control. He's a deep socialist, and stands for weakness. Sanders would crash the economy in short order. Confidence would shrink to well below Carter. Foreigners would take advantage of him, more companies would locate outside the border, and the standard of living will decline more rapidly. No way he sees a second term, his health probably wouldn't last through the first anyway.

Imagine if his healthcare dream passed? A working stiff @ 50K in good health and no dependents would pay 7-9K a year in healthcare tax to start. We're supposed to believe that's a deal. The wealthy would get hit so hard they'd show Sanders the bird by discontinuing interest or moving. Meanwhile we'd welcome anyone who cares to cross the border free healthcare. The middle class toast.

I doubt he can beat Trump, and he shouldn't either. If he does the first red flag occurs November 5th, when the market crashes.

That is what they said about the Repubs if Trump got the nomination.

you people need to pay a little bit more attention to history.

SUPER GRIDLOCK. Bernie could issue exec orders and most would be taken to court for legitimacy.
The stock market would crash, or drop. I can't imagine much legislation getting passed unless the democrats also took the senate and kept the House.

But I like your OP's points of both men have loyal followers and differing outlooks on how the economy should be run.
If Bernie won he would only have 2-years to do damage because the 2022 mid-terms would put the GOP back in control of the House and senate.

Pffft...if it were somehow candidate Sanders vs President ______ (insert any other name except the blob’s), I doubt I would vote at all.

Total stalemate.... Bernie will get nothing done because nobody will cooperate with him. Neither side. His worst and most dangerous enemies will be the Democrats.

Immediate stock market crash/dive. The rest depends on who controls Congress.
The right.....we get some space to breathe.
The left....buy your guns while you can.

"They" were wrong when "they" said that about Trump voters....and we said "they" were wrong...you disagreed....you are wrong still....

A Sanders Presidency Means:

Total Economic Collapse of The United States with his planned $200 Trillion in planned spending when our GDP is only $20 Trillion.

After that we start eating dog, riding bicycles and running from the Gulag and Guillotines squads when we have to steal food to survive.
