There are drag shows where all the people do is dress outrageously feminine to the point it is a parody of a woman, not an imitation of, and they just lip sync some song. And that is it.
Then there are adult entertainers in drag. Whole other thing. they are essentially strippers. They do not dress in wild, exaggerated costumes, they dress like strippers.
THAT - is the drag shows conservatives rail about. And so would you.
I would be very shocked if you were to say you would take your grandchild to the latter.

Tennessee is a recent state that passed this, for good reason.
Strangely enough, considering Tennessee is not only a conservative state, but is way more religious than other states, drag shows were popular there. And parents started taking children to them.
Then videos started surfacing of asshat parents taking children to the adult versions in TN - so they banned it.
