The richest have always been involved, pulling strings. Some are just being a bit more visible than we are accustomed to.

It looks like wealth wasn't important when FDR ran or during the Kennedy dynasty though. How about Nelson Rockefeller? What do they have in common besides extreme wealth? They were all democrats.
