Single mothers no father and democrats control of public schools is the problem. Vouchers and school choice is the solution.

School choice and vouchers can be part of the solution, but not the entire solution.

Even with vouchers many inner city people don’t have the ability to provide transportation to a school several miles away from their home. A solution for that would need to be developed. We could go back to the era of bussing I suppose.

A lot of inner city schools are dangerous outside and inside a classroom. They are allowed to be riddled with graffiti and allowed to be in disrepair.

First, security needs to be upgraded then they need to be cleaned up to look like a place for learning. This would help foster discipline with students.

After that we need to purge the substandard teachers. Institute merit pay for teachers based on academic test results. If a teacher can not produce a satisfactory level of student achievement they need to find another career.

It’s going to take generations to restore the family structure in the neighborhoods where these inner city schools exist.

That’s not a reason to give up and basically throw these kids away.
