Local high school kids given the day off to march in the streets and protest ICE. WTF????

I saw some interviews with these kids. Many of them had no idea what they were protesting. Some of them didn’t even what ICE is.

I don't recall any of us Property Tax payers who pay a ton of taxes supporting these schools if we approved of the kids being dismissed for political demonstrations.
Because it isnt up to you.

Run for the school board and have a hand in decisions.

Or sit there and whine.

What a bunch of shit, get your asses back to class!! And what if one of those kids gets hit by a car while they are "Using their voices to protest"? The school district should be sued.
No link.

I'm sorry, did I miss a link to support the claim that school was dismissed?

I saw little kids in packs, sort of a big loose herd. Girls running into Safeway to use restroom? Rally stalls. Of course a big Mexican flag waving. No American.

Signs poorly scribbled written "no human is illegal" Kids roaming around parking lots. 4 Police cars "escorting?", some Police on MTN bikes.//
Yet you didn't post a link so nothing you type is believable. Reported

there were alot of student protests yesterday, so one story wouldnt cover it.
alot are going out to protest as soon a school lets out in early afternoon, but some of them are walking out early, but enough of them to where it might be a problem for administrators to discipline individual students.

Another worthless reply, no surprise considering the source.
How is it anything you don't agree with is "worthless"?

Just because you pay taxes, doesn't mean you get to decide anything. You don't get to decide how the country is run, you don't get to decide how the state is run, and you have a VOTE (that is pretty worthless) and with schools you don't even get a vote but think you can dictate policy.

Being involved in current events is something that helps kids to get interested in things.

I went to Kosovo before independence, I turned up on a Saturday, had the bus checked for bombs by Polish military, then there was an independence march, the pervious one had seen three people killed. I marched with the people of Kosovo and nobody died, I saw the confrontation with the UN forces. The next day I went to Prizren and saw the burned out houses, the German forces protecting things.

I became interested in the whole issue because of that. I went and understood what happened in 1999, I understood what had been happening when I went and even now.

All because it was RELAVANT for me.

But for you, you just dismiss it all because you don't like it. And you don't like it because you haven't taken the time to understand the issues.

You tell me I'm emotional, and yet everything you say is based on emotion rather than pure logic and fact.

The Tucson Unified School District (TUSD) has over 40,000 students, 90 schools, and over 3,000 employees.

From your link: "Hundreds of teachers and students gathered at Catalina Park...".

LOL.

You’re a retard, we don’t get to decide? So umm….like what the **** is the point of KIDS marching during school hours against law enforcement? They don’t get to decide what ICE does either right? you ******* inbred

How do you know they were "dismissed" rather than that they just walked out? That's usually how such things go.

Getting kids interested in politics is not such a bad idea.

Trying to get them to agree with YOUR politics is a bad idea. No one should impose their views on a captive audience.
