How Much Does Our Vote Actually Matter?

Ignorant "argument." It is important because the country we once WERE keeps losing ground. That is why each election is more crucial than the last.

What form if government would you two have if not a Constitutionally Limited Republic? It is the best we can create until Jesus Christ establishes His Kingdom
The 50s aren't coming back, ever. Thankfully.

You've sold your soul.
Republicans don't "run on abortion"
The Democrats are. And the Democrats are LYING. And you're too cowardly to stand for anything.
Right to life is a terrible issue for Republicans. If they want to win more elections, they will tone down their opposition to it, they'll get more women's votes. They can hold an anti-abortion belief but don't bring it into their campaigns. Just consider it an unfortunate fact of life.

I was a young kid then. I was not impressed. Much higher quality of life today.

Except the beef. Herefords taste better and are more tender than black Angus. Worst thing that ever happened to the food supply. Greedy ranchers don't give a shit.

I was in the Meat Cutters union and benefitted greatly. I'm all for unionism as long as it doesn't bankrupt the businesses that it succeeds in organizing. This happened to the last supermarket I worked for. Six months after being organized the store closed. I had the occasion to sit down with the young union organizer before the owner signed the contract. He didn't give a shit if the store did go out of business.

A dozen full time employees, some with young families, as well as a dozen part time kids lost their jobs. The store never reopened.

Many stories about the excesses of the unions destroying businesses, careers, and employment. Corruption within big unions is legendary.
Management by Imagination

Business bureaucrats: "It's not a job; it's a position." Unionizing eliminates the cubicled, paper-shuffling white-collar fat. Your examples had static and stagnant management, ambitious imbeciles who couldn't make a profit without wage-gouging.

Opposing abortion is a Republican thing. I've made my stand clear. Women shouldn't have unprotected sex while they are ovulating. And, if they want to abort their fetus that's between them and God.

He paid union scale to all workers. It was the added costs, namely the pension plan that sunk him. He confessed to me that some years I made more money than he did. That said his part time workers weren't the most productive. He could have done with fewer but harder workers. Even his meat cutters hadn't been the most productive before I came. When I left to get married and move away, he said, "Where am I going to get another (enter my name). Best compliment I ever got from an employer.

I long already casted my vote for Donald Trump a couple of weeks ago, but I was just wondering since my state (Ohio) always turns red anyways, am I actually making a different? I mean, it seems like there are just red states and blue states that typically stay that way then why do we vote? Although this year I swear that New York is going to turn red. 😁
