I hear of this, I don't know how much is true. My issue with supplying the schools more is that we do not see a correlation with more money and supplies and better grades and better students.

Oh, I have no problem believing there are school districts that aren't sufficiently supplying classroom essentials. I don't for a second believe it's because they don't have enough money to do so, though. My experience says those districts have plenty of money, and are spending it on other things besides the classrooms and the students.

If you want an anecdote from inside your own experiences you're going to have to go out and meet these people.

Several of the teachers said they don't buy supplies for the kids and others do. I know budgets are tight and money is tight but we spend more per child on education than most if not all countries and our results are average at best. So, the issue isn't the money, there are other issues, maybe government and or parents, which money won't fix.

I had to buy all the supplies for my stepson, and the list was extensive.

Teachers are lying when they whine about how hard they've got it.

It's true and it happens a lot, especially in poor schools where teachers are already not making a lot of money.

Evidence? Name us a poor school where teachers have to buy classroom supplies out of their own pockets because the district can't afford to provide the money.
