The unionized employees played a role. No one wants to say anything. Manufacturing work has the greatest side employee compounding than any other type of work. And the city lost that also. Teh employees also left the city and surrounding areas affected. OPEC showed the real weaknesses.
Bullshit. Autoworkers in Japan and Germany have far stronger unions than the UAW, and they compete the pants off of us.
Yes, the Autoworkers left after the components they used to make were outsourced and the assembly lines started being run by robots.
