How long can the leftists keep up their Jihad Denial?

How many more American Lives will be sacrficed on the altar of political correctness before the great majority of Democrats understand the reality of Islamic Terrorism aka Jihad?

What is the peculiarity of progressives that prevents them from understanding what is happening?...........apparantly they are willing to sacrifice lives in order to preserve their idealism, their liberal narrative which they obviously deem more important than stopping Islamic Terrorism in America.

Who denies that there are terrorists in the world whose motivation is an adherence to a perverse interpretation of Islam?

If there is 'leftist' denial of jihad, it may be an attempt to be accurate as to the source of the problem. The 'jihad' that seems to be active comes from a distorted Salafist interpretation of the concept. If the asserted 1.6 billion Moslems all really thought 'jihad' were necessary, things would be drastically worse. Fortunately, it is a minority that has chosen this extreme position. 'Jihad' should be reserved for the internal struggle most believers of any religion feel about making their faith work in their daily life. It is a metaphor that Sufis, for example, understand.
If this is what 'leftists' intend, they should rethink it. That line is not effective and may very well be contributing to the problem. Religion in general, and Islam in particular, must be challenged with intellectual rigor and thoughtful, caring questioning. Any 'jihadist' carrying his/her 'fight' into the world the rest of us inhabit must be confronted and defeated, either with ideas or, the event occurring, with counter force.

Funny how when muslims commit terrorist acts that it's just the behavior of some radicals but when some staged DHS/FBI/ATF event like Sandy Hook, Charleston, SC or Aurora shooting happens?
