As of 12/28/2021, the overall death rate for COVID patients in the USA is 1.5%(one and one half per cent) Draw your own conclusions

your numbers are off.

There's over 350 million people in the United States and the "official" number of dead from COVID in the United States is only around 800,000. That number is no where near 1% much less 1.5% of the population.

Even going by those numbers the death total is only 0.23% of the population.

It's about half that going by death rate per year.

It's just a bad cold season.

That’s shows the strides made in combatting the disease, not its danger. Initially death rates were at 5-6%.

Yes, but there is only a 20% chance of that

800,000 dead from COVID

330,000,000 total population

Dividing the big by the little we get

A 1 out of 412 chance of dying of COVID.

Considering the fact that there have been 50 million positive covid tests in America, it means virtually everyone has been exposed to it even if they don't know it.

A large number of covid sufferers are asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic and would be unlikely to consult a physician much less get a test,

The number isn't even across the board. Those who are in generally good health are less likely of succumbing to it.

Further, a lot of people who have covid, actually die of something else

I do not understand how it possible to die from covid. They usually say that this is lung damage, 25-70%. But we do not use more than 5% of the lungs in the state of the rest.

Those are better odds than being able to retire comfortably after Bidenomics.

If someone's lungs are already compromised, perhaps with a case of emphysema or lung cancer, they might not have that much lung to spare

Depends..........If you are elderly and in a Nursing home with a blue state governor...........you might as well kiss your ass goodby.

To be fair, the elderly are non productive citizens for the state, and as such, should be treated accordingly.

This is also inconsistent with the information that smokers tolerate covid more easily. According to this logic, they should tolerate it harder, because their lungs absorb oxygen worse

Well they are killing the **** out of them........Most of the deaths are there.....including those getting the jab and dropping dead.

Died the day of the jab.....most have conditions from hell already though.

If, for example, a byker crashes in an accident and a covid is found in his corpse, do they include this in their covid death statistics?
