The reoccupation of the West Bank along with the fence did bring an end to attacks against Israeli civilians from the West Bank and there is every reason to believe a reoccupation of Gaza will have a similar result. So, regrettable as this child's wounds are, they were clearly caused in the course of an Israeli action that will make Israeli civilians safer.

The question you should be asking is, since there was never any possibility that Hamas' provocations could lead to improvements in the lives of the Palestinian people or advance any Palestinian political goal, and since an Israeli military response to the continuing rocket fire was inevitable at some point, why didn't those who now claim to be upset at pictures like this try to end Hamas' provocations before this began? Perhaps before prattling on about what Israel's responsibility for this little girl's wounds are those who did nothing to try to end Hamas' pointless provocations should ask what their own responsibility for her wounds are.

That's because she, like you, has been have been lied to for so long by Arab leaders that you don't see what is right in front of your eyes. The rocket fire that drew this response could never have brought any improvements to the lives of the Palestinians and could never have advanced any Palestinian politiical goals, and unless the Hamaspolitical leaders are just brain dead stupid, they always knew this, so when they refused to end the rocket fire it wasn't for the purpose of serving any long term or short term goal of the Palestinian people, it was only to satisfy their own passions with perfect indifference to the price Palestinian civilians would have to pay.

You're not seeing what is right in front of you. Rayyan, the third highest ranking Hamas leader in Gaza used his wives and children as human shields to protect weapons and explosives he kept in the apartment building where they lived. All this means is that they place no value on the lives of their own families. Consider that the rocket fire could never have served any useful purpose for the Palestinian people, so why would Hamas be willing to to invite all this suffering and death for the sake of a pointless gesture of defiance if they put any value on the lives lost, if they put any value on the lives of their own children?

Don't give me any crap about armed struggle because the rocket fire could never have contributed anything to an armed struggle.

Look, the goal of Hamas is to bring as many casualties upon themselves as possible in an effort to gain worldwide support for the condemnation of Israel with the hope that they will receive outside support to overthrow the Israeli government and take back what they believe is theirs. They don't care how many lives it costs, so long as they win in the end.

The only way to get them to ever stop is to convince them they have absolutely zero chance of being successful. Since there is little chance of that ever happening, this tit for tat bullshit will go on forever, until Israel is finally hit with a near fatal blow. Once that happens, all bets are off. The Israeli response will likely be catastrophic.
