How do we stop "the poor" from being so problematic?

Entitlement programs are pragmatic policies that must be implemented to adhere to Article 1 Sec 8 Claus 1 of the Constitution.
Article 1, Section 8, clause 1 strictly applies to the 18 enumerated powers only. It is not a power in itself. Sorry...not sorry.

The enumerated powers refer to constitutional powers of the congress. Congress has the constitutional power and authority to provide for the general welfare. That means it has the constitutional authority to pass legislation that benefits the general welfare of the nation. If they believe food assistance programs benefit the nation by preventing food riots, food-related cimes such as theft and robbery, and a host of medical and health issues, they have the constitutional authority to pass such legislation.

What can and or will be done about it politically?
In keeping with current board rhetoric let's not be scared to get real honest here.
Our poor are our worst parents...they create more of their same.
Our poor suck the most government tit.
Our poor commits the most crime.
Our poor does the most drugs.
Our poor drinks and smokes the most.
Our poor have the most children they can't afford.
Our poor litters and vandalizes the most.
Our poor drives uninsured.
Our poor commits the most animal cruelty.
I could go on and on...and no Libby's, let's not deflect and divert to Wall Street criminals, big corporations..blah, blah, blah...Let's get real, let's get serious about our taxpayer draining bottom feeders....Whatta ya say?
As it says in the Bible, you will always have the poor with you. This is confirmed in our laws as poverty is permanently established by law. No matter how wealthy the country may be we will always have the poverty.

Conservatives hope to starve them out of existence and Liberals hope to buy them out. However, as confirmed in law and the Bible, we always have them with us.
True, but it is not up to the successful to give free rides…
Which is another way of saying it is not up to the successful to reduce violent crime, drug addition, broken homes, child abuse, and poor educational outcomes which are all closely linked to poverty. It's up the unsuccessful, the failures in life. Thus, we will always have the poor with us.

right wing fantasy, like usual?

But who would pay for the extermination facilities?

Costly infrastructure is costly.
yeah, the right wing can't go for it, if it requires higher taxes.

Some of the cost could be ofset by melting down any jewelry or gold fillings that are taken from the poor prior to their extermination.

And thanks to trump, we don't need to worry about pollution caused by the cremation facilities, as there is no such thing as pollution.

Ground up pulverized bones and cremated ashes can be used as fertilizer. Flesh and muscle can be used as pet food. Skins can be used as a material for making lamp shades and various ornaments.

Unlike rightwing fear mongering, it does not cause inflation, does not impact employment and does not devalue the dollar
The facts disprove your left-wing propaganda talking points. Hours are cut back, jobs are eliminated, businesses close, and it creates inflation. Those are the facts. Facts that the left-wing nutjobs are learning the hard way in California. This is the reality that you don't want to accept:

$15 Minimum Wage Sends California Businesses Fleeing
There are just some jobs that are absolutely not worth any more than seven dollars an hour, like flipping burgers and stocking shelves. Those are beginner/temporary jobs and should be paid as so
I guess small business owners will have to do more for less; thank goodness they are not, all about the money.
Raising the minimum wage on beginner/temporary jobs only hurt small business…

There are no "beginner/temporary jobs", there are only jobs. The myth that only teenagers work at McDonalds or Walmart is just that - a myth. The average age of a those making minimum wage at McDonalds, is 27. Hardly a teenager, or a beginning worker.

All of the jobs my father did as an employee are gone off-shore, or replaced by automation. Many of the jobs I did as a young office clerk have been replaced by automation. I have watched entire sectors of the legal services business disappear with computerization. I have so many clerical skills that no one uses anymore, from my days working for banks before computerization. But workers either evolve or they get left behind.

I'm smart, and a quick study. Acquiring new skills was easy for me, and I have a natural affiliation for computers. In the 1980's I started writing simple legal apps which helped me do my work better and faster than anybody else, and then I started selling them.

Throughout history, society has provided food and shelter for the poor and it has always been disguised as generosity when in reality it was often self preservation. Sanitary living conditions for the poor in Europe was not do to the work of liberal do gooders but the upper classes fear of cholera, typhus, yellow fever, and influenza.

The advances in technology is the primary reason for job loss among low skilled workers, not shipping jobs overseas. Blaming job loss on trade deals is just a scapegoat for a serious problem that we don't know how to address. Technology in the work place is a two edge sword. It's created millions of jobs for high skilled workers while destroying the jobs of less skilled workers. By 2021 robots will eliminate 6% of all jobs. By mid century 1/3 of the blue collar jobs will be replaced by technology.

The answer has always been retraining. However the type of jobs that are going to be created are going to require extensive education and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing job market.

Fellas....your drama queen antics are cute and awfully entertaining but there really is a simple solution.
Legislate to make it criminal for bottom feeders to reproduce....DONE!
When one gives life knowing full well that the invoice will be passed on to taxpayers one has committed theft.
Give all able bodied lowlife's a fishing pole and a tent and drop them in a resource rich forest...DONE!
The simplicity scares the shit out of you emotionally thinking, noble whacko's....haha

Explain how your proposal can be implemented without grossly violating the Constitution. Any such legislation denying a person the right to procreate would violate the 1rst Amendment.

Even that's not true. Microsoft has developed an AI technology called DeepCoder which actually writes perfect, flawless code in seconds. A person just has to tell it what they want and the AI cranks out the code for them. So even if one is trained in programming - they will still lose their jobs.

Ultimately all of our problems will be solved for us when the machines are doing all of the work. If a farmer doesn't have to produce the food - you don't need to pay him. A machine doing it for us can result in "free" food (with some stipulations of course). Same with housing, transportation, etc.

You're 100% correct on that Camp. But what can be done is to hold them criminally responsible for failure to properly provide for their children (child endangerment).

Do Trumpettes really expect Fruit of the Loom underwear to return to South Carolina with their robotic automated textile works and hire all those women to sit around and watch them manufacture underwear?
Do Hitlerettes really expect progressive tax rates to slow the growth of automation? :uhh:

That would be unenforceable and still be unconstitutional. You are suggesting that financial status be a requirement for having freedom of religion. Those with money would have freedom of religion, but those without money would be denied freedom of religion. In the meantime, whoever the King or Emperor allows harvesting the trees in the forest or grains in the fields, hunt game or fish in the sea will obtain wealth and those denied those privileges will be poor.
Where would the King get troops for his armies?
