How do we stop "the poor" from being so problematic?

Like I said; we are simply exporting our less efficient, low wage jobs.
Like I said...California is a miserable shit-hole which is hemorrhaging jobs and tax revenues while suffering from $800 billion in debt.
We have the largest economy in the Union and we recently legalized pot; and, expect around a billion in revenue.

You have no facts, only right wing propaganda and rhetoric.
I have no facts?!? I provided you with a link about left-wing minimum wage levels causing California to lose jobs. Unlike wrongwinger, you didn't even attempt to to deny it. Instead, you attempted to spin the job loss and tax revenue loss as a "positive"
Spin what; capitalism has a natural rate of unemployment. We are "downsizing" our least efficient firms, that is all.

or stop whining about taxes for social services.
I'll "whine" until the U.S. Constitution is properly enforced again and the "social services" are all revoked. If you want them - get the votes you need to amend the constitution. If you can't get the votes (and you can't), then accept the fact that the American people have spoken.

The American people HAVE NOT SPOKEN. 25% of the American voters actually took the trouble to vote. The last time I checked 25% isn't a majority or even close to it. So a small subset of American voters who are united in their ignorance and greed against anyone who has LESS than they do, voted.
The firms that remain, will simply become more efficient at that new wage equilibrium.
Indeed! And that "efficiency" will result in low-wage jobs becoming no wage jobs. Which will result in more unemployment, which will result in you lefties whining about more social programs, etc. It's the viocus cycle of failed left-wing ideology.

Burger-flipping robot replaces humans on first day at work
In the short run; in the long run, people spending more money will create more demand.

Like I said; we are simply exporting our less efficient, low wage jobs.

We just need to figure out a way to tax robots.

You need to figure out a way for ALL CITIZENS to have meaninful employment which will sustain them without public assistance. Not everyone is meant to be a boss, an entrepreneur or a leader. Some people just need to be able to support themselves and their families and they're prepared to work to do that. Conservatives posters on this forum have no patience or interest in these people. They deserve nothing.

But there are a lot more workers than leaders. They are the people who build the successful businesses for the leaders of the nation. Their blood, sweat and tears is what made American great. These are the people who voted for Trump and who are now discovering that the new Boss is same as the old Boss and they don't matter.

Unlike rightwing fear mongering, it does not cause inflation, does not impact employment and does not devalue the dollar
The facts disprove your left-wing propaganda talking points. Hours are cut back, jobs are eliminated, businesses close, and it creates inflation. Those are the facts. Facts that the left-wing nutjobs are learning the hard way in California. This is the reality that you don't want to accept:

$15 Minimum Wage Sends California Businesses Fleeing
There are just some jobs that are absolutely not worth any more than seven dollars an hour, like flipping burgers and stocking shelves. Those are beginner/temporary jobs and should be paid as so
I guess small business owners will have to do more for less; thank goodness they are not, all about the money.
Raising the minimum wage on beginner/temporary jobs only hurt small business…

There are large numbers of citizens who do not have and never will have, the abilities to perform work tasks more complicated than the ones you mention. Others have to work those jobs just because they are the only ones available to them. Hence, the right promotes punishing those with fewer abilities and at the same time, punishes those who are willing to work at jobs far below their abilities due to circumstances beyond their control.
So punish small business?

Having a federal government dictate of minimum-wage for all only hurt small businesses, it's a punishment for success tax.

Employment is at-will, even in Right to Work States.

We already have laws regarding the legal concept of employment at will. The least wealthy merely need equal protection of the law, for unemployment compensation.

A fifteen dollar an hour minimum wage competes favorably with the cost of social services.

What can and or will be done about it politically?
In keeping with current board rhetoric let's not be scared to get real honest here.
Our poor are our worst parents...they create more of their same.
Our poor suck the most government tit.
Our poor commits the most crime.
Our poor does the most drugs.
Our poor drinks and smokes the most.
Our poor have the most children they can't afford.
Our poor litters and vandalizes the most.
Our poor drives uninsured.
Our poor commits the most animal cruelty.
I could go on and on...and no Libby's, let's not deflect and divert to Wall Street criminals, big corporations..blah, blah, blah...Let's get real, let's get serious about our taxpayer draining bottom feeders....Whatta ya say?

Extermination is the only logical option I see.

The object and priority are not limited to "small business". People who work for minimum wage more often than not qualify for various taxpayer-funded assistance programs. That means that taxpayers are obligated to subsidize those small businesses and small business owners.

Capitalism has a Natural Rate of Unemployment. And, those firms can simply move to a, "cheaper" State.

The only reason to start a small business is to make a profit… No one starts a small business just to hire people.

Having a national minimum wage is picking winners and losers… Typical of socialism

Moving the "goal posts" is a function of Government.
