Well I had a feeling that's what you were referring to when another poster was talking about physically intervening when it comes to a public threat. Whether it's a bystander, whether it's a trained professional doesn't make a difference but there should have been a lot more done on both July 13th 2024 (even though thank God Trump survived but still)and September 10th 2025. Especially for both of those days there were warning signs everywhere.

Unfortunately we can't count on our President to lead the way. Instead of being a leader, he is calling other Americans his "enemy", saying he "hates" them, and doesn't "want the best for them". This is absolutely disgraceful, and he knows damn well that he is adding to the problem. A President of the United States, saying he hates half the country. Incredible.

A real leader would first challenge the voices of his party, from politicians to politicos to podcasters, to drop the inflammatory shit. Then, with that credibility in his pocket, he would call together Democrat and leftist leaders and challenge them to do exactly the same on their side. Then he has a united front. Put the pressure on them to match his words and actions. Then it's on THEM to end whatever insane shit these shooters were exposed to. I imagine there's tons of it on the Left. He could LEAD AMERICA.

But sadly, he just lacks that capacity.

Biden didn't do it. Obama didn't do it. Did either even TRY? Here's Trump's chance. He wants a Nobel? Let's see what he can do on his own soil. What I expect instead are excuses.

Think back to what you was doing at 20 years of age and compare.

I had a full time job, shared an old house a bunch of us rented (think Animal House) and was hunting, fishing, wrenching on my Jeep, and chasing skirt.....I could have cared less about politics because for good or bad they were not largely insane back then.

I bet if you took most of the dem members of the US House and subjected them to the mental evaluations of the 70s half would be committed.
