Well lets see- I have two very good gay friends who have both married the loves of their lives.

The first was married for years to a woman, before finally coming to terms with his sexuality- and has two children with her. When he married his husband- they were both of an age- that if either of them were female, they were not going to have children anyways. Not an issue for them.

My other buddy recently married- and again- same situation. Now I know that my buggy would have loved to have kids of his own- but he didn't find the right partner until he was 50- and by that time had decided he was not going to have kids.

And by the way- my sister in law just got married to her new husband. They won't be able to have kids either for various medical reasons- yes they regret not being able to have their own kids- but they were still happy to get married.

True, but 100% of homosexual couples can not have a biological child.

I am a happily married straight man. My wife and I were lucky enough to be able to have our own children together. But I have friends who couldn't- and used sperm donation.

If you were to ask that question of that couple- the wife would probably deck you. That kid is their kid- they don't give a damn that the sperm didn't come from the father.

I really think your question comes out of innocence- but it is really pretty insulting to every couple- straight or gay- who for whatever biological reason- are not able to have children together- and so have kids by other means.

Regardless- those are their kids.

Let me give you another example- good friends of ours have 3 kids- 1 biological- 2 adopted. If you were to ask the mom if she regrets that she could not have more biological children and had to adopt........you would have a problem. She has 3 kids- and other than the issues that come from the pre-adoptive stage- she not only does not make any distinction between them- she will be pissed off if you refer to other two kids as adopted- they are just her kids.

Period.

I don't need to. The law of large numbers leads to the conclusion that the percentage of "gay" families that are unhappy (or happy) with their children is about the same percentage as in normal families.
