Ask how many Ron and Rand Paul supporters voted for Trump. It doesn't get any more libertarian than Ron Paul.

Granted there are a few left-wing libertarians in the US, but they tend to gravitate toward Berni Sanders, Jill Stein, the Communist Party USA, the Socialist Party USA, or the Green Party. But for the most part, those I just listed tend to be leftists.

The centrist policies and voting record of the party. Working with the Liberal elites. Basically any and everything non-conservative. There was (and still is) a view that the average Republican politician tries to talk a good game but can’t or won’t walk and vote the same way.

The political lines of demarcation aren't absolute. There are always individuals who are "out there" or defy classification. Like leftist antifa and BLM who own guns, but vote for Democrat candidates who want to take people's guns.
