In Iraq bombs are used to fight the war, but in Afghanistan the US military has a subtle new set of weapons in its arsenal: schools, wells and roads, or what is known in military parlance as "combat marketing".

Very cool article. Unfortunately, the media isn't very interested in the multitude of good deeds performed on a daily basis by our forces both in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Hopefully that will change.
