This si a newish one over here. As with most tory policies it stems from something possibly happening that they dont like. No thought has benn given to the consequences.

It first reared its head when Mrs May was intent on persecuting the children of the Windrush generation. People who were born here grew up here and had families. Who had worked all their lives and in many cases served in the forces were told that they did not belong here and had to go back to the West Indies. A place that they had never ever seen.

The compensation is still being paid out on that one and it was clear that they needed more than evil thoughts to accomplish this.

Step forward Shemima Begum. As a teenager she ran off to join ISIS, got married and had 3 children, all of whom died. With the death of her husband she decidedcthat she wanted to come home. This horrified the tories who decided that she couldnt and is now busy trying to pass a law givin them the power to revoke citiizenship withouta trial or a hearing of any kind.

She may well deserve to have her citizenship revoked but I have no logical way of arriving at that door. This seems like something that the Nazis would do. Its against Magna Carta and sees evil |King John replaced by the even more evil Priti Patel.

Its also hugely racist in concept and execution. There is no move to strip citizenship from Prince Paedo.

Well, over here in the colonies, Trump wanted to get rid of the birthright citizenship. The recent end-around of Roe is a blue print for trying to circumvent whatever law they don't like. We currently have a court system that is complicit.

Its a universal law that covers all citizens. Citizenship is not something that should be the gift of a corrupt politician or a corrupt political party. Why do you think it should ? It seems an off stance for eople who supposedly believe in freedom.

If she comes back she should face trial if she has committed any crimes. If she is guilty then she should be punished. This isnt a banana republic and you cannot deny black and brown people o their citizenship on a whim.

ISIS was not an enemy nation. They were just bandits.
I dont think there are any circumstances where you should lose citizenship. If people break the law then we have a legal system to take care of that. The worst criminals in any society are still citizens of that country.
