I voted for McCain.
You're bragging about that?
You're missing the forest for the trees and arguing with yourself. My vote for McCain on the ballot was not an endorsement of McCain or his policy proposals.
no one of any importance has tried to push socialism in America
If you mean state ownership of business you are correct. No rational person believes it can work. They have reverted to a form of fascism (this was what I was getting at earlier) where private business is dictated to by the government. No rule of constitutional law, just looting as they please.
You are living in a dream world here. The government bailed out private big biz and will be pulling out it's stake as the business pay back the money. You not only misrepresent things, your hysteria over it is distasteful.
there is no form of fascism on the part of the Us government. There is within the GOP.

I understand perfectly, Dainty. I always vote for people whose agenda I don't like.
are you always this clueless? The GOP is dead. What is inhabiting it's corpse is a vile thing.
The sweep you are wetting your little panties over is a usual event. No big deal.
get it dumbo?
See you after the Nov 2 election.
you're a moron. I'm on record as saying I wanted the government to be in the hands of both parties. I voted for McCain.
D'oh!

What do you call what happened to GM? They essentially ignored all bankruptcy laws, confiscated the company and gave it to the UAW

You are misrepresenting again. Your credibility is going south.
Con`fis`ca´tion
n. 1. The act or process of taking property or condemning it to be taken, as forfeited to the public use.

Owning GM stock and selling it after being paid back and after stabilizing GM is not even close to being confiscation.

And how did they acquire those shares?
How does that refute anything I said? Did I say Ronny made the Navy kick-ass or something?
Hey stupid.........you stated it was worth the deficits.
I'm telling you as someone who served during that time, it wasn't. It damn near broke the Navy.
I served during Reagan's tenure, in fact before and after.
the bulking up of all branches during the Reagan years was a double edged sword, aside from the deficits, I agree. We had a spike in training accidents etc. as cadre was stretched thin.
BUT, the 'worth' that has to be calculated too, was spending the soviets into the poor house which helped push them over the edge.
The alternative: bankruptcy. "The risk is greater today," GM President and Chief Executive Officer Fritz Henderson said Monday.

Interestingly enough, they just put out a new model that is going to re-open one of their factories, resulting in around 2,500 jobs being restored.
But of course......the GOP doesn't wanna hear that........

That's what the law says should happen. Sucks to be Ford. I own my own business and I can't even imagine the government coming and bailing out my competition right when I had them beat. Why even give a shit if the government is just going to bail you out in the end. What a crock of shit.
