Wind and solar are the least expensive and quickest to build of all the present forms of generation. They also require the least infrastructure. No railroads or pipelines to maintain. And with agri-voltaics and solar over parking lots and canals the land can serve two functions. Maybe you should catch up to what is going on in the EV world. There are many EV's that are competing with ICE vehicles in price. And Tesla is just one of the manufactures making EV's now.
